How to select customers, orders or club members for bulk actions

If you don't tick any rows, bulk actions apply to everyone in the list. Tick rows, or use Shift-click, to act on only some.

On the Customers, Orders and Club Members screens, buttons such as Bulk Actions, Export and Email act on a group of records at once. Which records they act on depends on what you've ticked and filtered.

Important: no ticks means everyone

If you don't tick any rows, WithWine applies the action to every record in the list. With no filters on, that's all your customers (or orders, or club members).

For example, if you click Bulk Actions > Add Credit without ticking anyone, every customer in the list gets the credit. Always check what's ticked before you use a bulk action.

How to act on a filtered group

  1. Apply filters to narrow the list to the people you want. See "How to find customers using filters".

  2. Don't tick any rows.

  3. Use the button or Bulk Actions. The buttons change to say they apply to the filtered list, for example Email Filtered Subscribers or Export Filtered Records to CSV.

How to act on particular customers

  1. Tick the box at the left of each customer you want.

  2. Click Bulk Actions. The options show how many customers you've ticked, for example Add Credit (2).

How to tick a block of customers quickly

  1. Tick the first customer you want.

  2. Scroll down to the last customer you want.

  3. Hold down the Shift key and tick the last customer. Everyone in between is ticked too.

Customer bulk actions

On the Customers screen, Bulk Actions has:

  • Manage Tags: add or remove tags. See "How to tag customers".

  • Coupon for All Customers (or for the ticked customers): creates one coupon that only those customers can use.

  • Add Credit: adds the same credit to each customer.

  • Update Account Manager: assigns an account manager.

  • Add Note: adds the same note to each customer.
