A customer can either redeem a gift card, which stores its value in their WithWine account, or spend the gift card straight away on an order.
To redeem a gift card means to move its value into the customer's account as credit. To spend a gift card means to use it to pay for an order.
How to redeem a gift card to a WithWine account
Scan the QR code on the gift card PDF, or select the link on the PDF. Both open a redemption page, where the customer stores the gift card on their WithWine account.

Once a gift card is redeemed, its value is account credit, which can be spent on your website. See How customers use their credit.
How to spend a gift card straight away
On your website: the customer types the numerical gift card code from the PDF at checkout.
At your cellar door: the customer brings the gift card, and your staff scan its QR code in point of sale (POS).
Troubleshooting
A customer redeemed their gift card and now wants to use it at the cellar door. A redeemed gift card is account credit, and account credit can currently only be spent on your website.
