Create a gift card for each value you want to sell, for example $100. Customers can then buy the gift card on your website or at your cellar door.
Before you start
Decide the gift card's value and price, and how many months it will be valid for. Check the legal minimum first. See How long should a gift card be valid for?.
Decide what the gift card can be spent on. Most wineries use the Everything credit class. See What is a credit class?.
Steps
Go to Settings > Products > Gift Cards.
Select + Add Gift Card. If you don't have any gift cards yet, the form to add a gift card opens straight away.
In Name the gift card, enter a name, for example "Saltbush Ridge Gift Card $100".
In Description, add a short description of up to 512 characters.
Optional: add a Photo (under 1 MB), a Long Description and a WithWine App Description.
In Credit class, choose what the gift card can be spent on, for example Everything.
In Amount, enter the value of the gift card, for example 100.
In Valid for, enter how many months the gift card is valid for, counted from the date of purchase, for example 36.
In Terms & Conditions, enter your gift card terms, for example where the gift card can be spent and that it can't be exchanged for cash.
Under Pricing, in Full Price, enter what the customer pays for the gift card, for example 100.
Under List your product for sale?, select Yes.
In Online Availability, choose who can buy the gift card on your website, for example Everyone. The default is Not Available.
At the bottom of the page, untick Add another gift card? unless you want to add another gift card straight away.
Select Save.
Name the gift card, Description, Credit class, Amount and Valid for are required.
Check how the gift card looks
After you save, open the gift card again and select Test Gift Card PDF to preview the PDF customers receive. The PDF shows the QR code, gift card code, redemption link, expiry date and your Terms & Conditions. Changes to Terms & Conditions only show in the test PDF after you save the gift card.
What happens next
The gift card appears on the Gift Cards list, showing its Credit Class, Amount, Valid for and Price. To sell more than one value, create a gift card for each value and link them. See How to offer gift cards in different values.
