How to create a mix

Create a mixed pack in Settings > Products > Mixes: set its name, price and number of bottles, then choose which bottles are in it.

Create a mix when you sell a group of bottles as one product, such as a mixed 6-pack.

Before you start

  • Add the bottles that go in the mix first, and set List your wine for sale? to Yes on each one. See How to add a wine (bottle product).

  • Don't put a vintage in the mix's name. Choose Mixed or a year in Vintage instead.

Create a mix

  1. Go to Settings > Products > Mixes.

  2. Click + Add Mix at the top right.

  3. In Name the mix, type the mix's name, for example Barossa Reds Six Pack.

  4. Choose the Vintage (for example Mixed) and the Wine type (for example Mix of Reds).

  5. (Optional) Enter a SKU Code.

  6. Leave Count stock by as Number of bottles unless you want to count whole mixes. See What's the difference between counting mix stock by bottles or by mixes?.

  7. Add a Short Description, Long Description and Photo.

  8. Under Pricing, enter the Full Price for the whole mix.

  9. Set List your mix for sale? to Yes.

  10. In Available Prices, change # of Bottles in Mix to the number of bottles in the mix, for example 6, and check the Price.

  11. (Optional) To offer a price for more mixes, click Add Price and enter a multiple of the mix size in # of Bottles in Mix, for example 12 for a 6-bottle mix.

  12. Set Online Availability to Everyone if you want to sell the mix online. It starts as Not Available.

  13. Click Mix Items, tick Set mix items?, and choose the bottles. See How to choose which bottles are in a mix.

  14. Click Save.

What happens next

  • The mix appears on Settings > Products > Mixes.

  • To make a similar mix, click Add and Clone instead of Save. WithWine saves the mix and opens a copy for you to change.

Troubleshooting

  • The mix shows as out of stock. One of the bottles in the mix is out of stock. See Why is my mix showing as out of stock?.
