How to add images to an email

Add JPG or PNG images up to 1MB to a WithWine email, choose them from your image library, and set their size and alignment.

You add pictures to an email with the Image block. Images are uploaded to your image library, so you can reuse the same images in later emails.

Before you start

  • Images must be JPG or PNG files.

  • Each image can be up to 1MB. Resize or compress larger photos before uploading.

  • Use images you have the right to use, such as your own photos and labels.

How to add an image

  1. Add an Image block with +, or click an existing Image block. The Image library opens.

  2. Upload a new image (drag and drop, or choose a file). You can upload several images at once.

  3. Select the image in the gallery and click Use this image.

  4. In the Inspect tab, set the Size (%) and Alignment. You can also Rotate the image.

What happens next

  • The image shows in the email straight away.

  • The image stays in your image library for future emails.

Troubleshooting

The image won't upload. Check the image is a JPG or PNG and is 1MB or smaller.

The template's "Your image" placeholder is in my email. Placeholder images are sent to customers if you leave them in. Click the placeholder and choose your own image, or delete the Image block.

The image looks too big on a phone. Reduce Size (%) and check the mobile view in Preview.

A blank white page says 403 Forbidden when I upload an image. WithWine's firewall blocked hidden information in the image file. Open the image on your computer, export it as a new file (for example, File > Export in Preview on a Mac, or File > Save as in Paint on Windows), then upload the new file. See Why am I getting a 403 Forbidden error?
