Applies to Already Discounted Prices decides whether a coupon also comes off prices that are already discounted, such as a club member's price, a 6-bottle price, a sale price or a customer group price.
No (the default): the customer gets whichever is cheaper, the coupon or the price they already have. They never get both.
Yes: the coupon comes off the already discounted price, so the customer gets both discounts.
Examples
A Rosé is $28. Club members get 15% off, so they pay $23.80. The coupon is 10% off.
No: the coupon would make the Rosé $25.20, which is more than the club price, so the club member keeps $23.80. The coupon gives them no extra discount.
Yes: the club member pays $23.80 less 10% = $21.42.
A Shiraz is $45, or $195 for 6. The coupon is 10% off.
No: a customer buying 6 pays $195. 10% off $45 is $40.50 a bottle, which is more than $32.50 a bottle in the 6-pack, so the coupon gives no extra discount.
Yes: the customer pays $195 less 10% = $175.50.
Why this setting needs care
When Yes is set, discounts stack. Club members, trade customers and anyone buying at a 6-bottle price get the coupon on top of their existing discount. This is the most common reason a customer gets a much bigger discount than you expected. Combined with Auto apply, every qualifying order gets the extra discount without anyone entering a code.
Use Yes only when you deliberately want everyone, including club members, to get the extra discount, for example a members' bonus weekend. Give these coupons an end date. See How to make a coupon stop automatically

Troubleshooting
A club member's coupon gives no discount: the setting is No and their club price is already cheaper than the coupon. This is expected.
A club member got a much bigger discount: the setting is Yes. See Why did a customer get a bigger discount than expected?
