What is the Customers screen?

The Customers screen is WithWine's CRM: every customer's details, orders, notes, credit, tags and tasks in one place.

The Customers screen is WithWine's CRM (customer relationship management). It holds every customer who has bought from you, signed up to your mailing list, joined a club or been added or imported by your team. Each customer has one record, identified by their email address.

What you can do on the Customers screen

  • Find groups of customers with Filters, for example everyone who bought Riesling in the last 6 months, or club members whose birthday is this month.

  • See how valuable each customer is: lifetime value, email open rate and account credit show on each row.

  • Open a customer's record to see their orders, emails, notes, credit, tags, saved cards and tasks.

  • Add notes, tasks, tags and credit, place an order for them, or add them to a club.

  • Act on many customers at once with Bulk Actions, or email them with Email All Subscribers.

  • Import customers from a CSV file, or add them one by one.

Why WithWine puts all of this on one screen

WithWine is built to turn a single visit or purchase into repeat sales. The Customers screen brings together what a customer has bought, liked and been sent, so you can find the right people for your next offer and follow up with them personally.

How to open the Customers screen

  1. In the back office, click Customers in the left-hand menu.

  2. To open a customer's record, click their name.

  3. To go back to the list, click Back at the top left of the record.

What's on a customer record

At the top: the customer's name, lifetime value (LTV), number of orders, average order value and email address, plus Account Manager, Customer Number and Date Of Birth. Click the pencil next to a field to change it.

Below that are the action buttons: Send Direct Email, Add Note, Add Task, Add Credit, Create Order, Join Club, Subscribe (or Unsubscribe) and Remove Customer.

Under the buttons is a row of icon tabs. Hover over an icon to see its name:

  • Activity: a timeline of orders, emails sent, mailing list changes, notes and address changes. Filter it with All Activity, Mailing List / CRM / Payment Methods, Account Balance Activity or Tasks And Notes.

  • Contact Card: the customer's addresses and delivery instructions.

  • Payment Methods: the customer's saved cards.

  • Notes: notes your team has added about the customer.

  • Credit Activity: the customer's account credit.

  • Tags: the tags on the customer.

  • Tasks: tasks linked to the customer.
