Month scheduling lets you choose which months club members are charged in. You can use it with any club type, but it's mainly for Subscription clubs.
With month scheduling
You set the charge months in advance, and members are charged in the next scheduled month after they join. For example, with a twice-a-year schedule of January and June:
A member who joins in March is next charged in June.
A member who joins in July is next charged in January.
Without month scheduling
Charges fall on the anniversary of joining. For example, a member joins a twice-a-year club on 27 January, so their next charge is about six months later, around 27 July.
How to set up month scheduling
Go to Settings > Clubs.
Select the club's name to open it.
Tick Use Month Scheduling.
In Default Charge Day of Month, choose the day and time charges happen, for example the 20th at 12:00AM.
For each charge interval, choose the months in the dropdowns, then select Add. The schedule appears in a list, for example "January, June". You need a schedule for every charge interval members can choose. For example, if members can choose 3 times per year, add a schedule with three evenly spaced months, such as January, May and September.
Optional: add more than one schedule for an interval to let members choose, for example "January, June" or "March, October".
Select Save.
To remove a schedule, select (Remove) next to it.
Why charges aren't always at the exact time
At the charge time, members join a queue to be charged rather than all being charged at the same instant. Many wineries can be charging their clubs at the same moment, and every payment goes through Stripe in turn.
