You can delete a credit class you no longer need. Customers who already have credit in a deleted credit class keep their credit.
Before you start
Check whether your loyalty program uses the credit class. Go to Settings > Loyalty & Credit and look at Credit earned has the following class in the Loyalty Program section. If your loyalty program uses the credit class you want to delete, choose a different credit class there first and select Save.
Steps
Go to Settings > Loyalty & Credit.
In the Credit Classes table, find the credit class you want to delete.
Select Delete in that credit class's row.
What happens next
Customers who already have credit in the deleted credit class keep their credit and can still spend it.
You can no longer change the deleted credit class's name or what its credit can be spent on. If you might need to change these later, edit the credit class instead of deleting it. See How to edit a credit class.
If your loyalty program was using the deleted credit class, the loyalty program switches to the next available credit class. Check Credit earned has the following class in the Loyalty Program section to see which credit class new loyalty credit now belongs to.
Troubleshooting
Customers are earning loyalty credit they can only spend on shipping (or on something else unexpected). Your loyalty program may have switched credit class after a credit class was deleted. Go to Settings > Loyalty & Credit, choose the right credit class in Credit earned has the following class, and select Save.
