How to choose which bottles are in a mix

Set the mix items so WithWine knows which bottles are in a mix and takes them out of stock when the mix sells.

Mix items tell WithWine which bottles are in a mix. When the mix sells, WithWine takes those bottles out of stock and reports them as sold through the mix.

Before you start

  • Set List your mix for sale? to Yes on the mix, and set # of Bottles in Mix in Available Prices. A mix is 6 bottles unless you change it.

  • Each bottle you add must have List your wine for sale? set to Yes.

Choose the bottles

  1. Go to Settings > Products > Mixes and click the mix's name (or click + Add Mix to create one).

  2. Click Mix Items to open the section.

  3. Tick Set mix items?.

  4. Click Add Mix Items. A list of your bottles opens.

  5. Click + next to each bottle until you have the right number of each. Use Filter products to find a bottle quickly.

  6. Check the message at the bottom. Bottles count must match the number of bottles in the mix, for example 6 of 6. Accept only works when the numbers match.

  7. Click Accept.

  8. Click Save.

What happens next

  • Mix Items lists each bottle and how many, for example Barossa Valley Shiraz (2024) x 3.

  • To change the bottles later, click Update Mix Items.

  • Each bottle with stock tracking on goes down in stock when the mix sells, even if stock tracking is off for the mix itself.

Troubleshooting

  • A bottle's buttons show - 12 and + 12. That bottle isn't listed for sale. Open the bottle, set List your wine for sale? to Yes, click Save, then try again.

  • Accept is greyed out. The bottles count doesn't match the number of bottles in the mix. Add or remove bottles until it does.
