The WithWine email builder is where you design and send marketing emails (newsletters) to your customers and club members. You build the email by adding blocks such as headings, text, images, buttons and a pre-filled shopping cart, then send the email to the customers or club members you choose.
The email builder is part of WithWine, so you don't need a separate email tool such as Mailchimp or Klaviyo. There's no extra fee for the email builder and no charge based on the size of your mailing list.
What you can do with the email builder
Design an email from a predefined template or from a blank template, using blocks: Heading, Text, Button, Image, Avatar, Divider, Spacer, Html, Columns, Container and Cart.
Add a Cart block that opens your checkout with wines, quantities and a coupon already in the cart.
Send the email to customers from the Customers screen, or to club members from the Club Members screen.
Send a test email to yourself before sending.
Send the email straight away or schedule the email for later.
See how many people opened the email, clicked a link and placed an order, and how much those orders were worth, on the Emails screen.
Save an email as a template to reuse later.
Where you send emails from
You always start an email from the screen that holds the people you want to email. The screen you start from decides who receives the email:
Customers screen: for marketing emails. Only customers subscribed to your mailing list receive the email.
Club Members screen: for club emails. Every club member in your filter or selection receives the email, whether or not the member is subscribed to your mailing list.
You can also create a template from the Emails screen with Create Newsletter Template, but a template created there can't be sent until you start an email from the Customers or Club Members screen and choose the template.
Email Builder or HTML Editor
Email Builder: design the email inside WithWine using blocks. Use the Email Builder for most emails.
HTML Editor: paste in an email that was designed somewhere else, for example by a designer, as HTML code.
What every email includes automatically
A WithWine app banner at the top, with links to the App Store and Google Play.
A footer with your social media icons, your brand address, the under-18 notice and your liquor licence (where set up), and an Unsubscribe link.
