To redeem a Gift Card, simply long press on the green Charge button, the same way you would to reveal additional payment methods. In the menu you will now see "Gift Card":

When using the feature for the first time, you will be asked to provide Vintner with access to the Camera > tap "Allow" (Note: if you select Don't Allow, the Gift Card redemption feature will not work):

Now simply scan the QR that's on the customer's Gift Card and tap the green Redeem button:

You can then tap the green Charge button to pay off the remaining balance using the card reader or...

But let's say you didn't want to pay off the remaining balance with the card reader... the customer also had $100 Cash:

In that scenario you would long press on the green Charge button again > select Cash > type in $100 > then tap Tender... you can keep splitting between different payment types until the balance for the order is brought down to $0.

If you want to split between multiple credit cards, long press on the green Charge button > select Card > delete the defaulted amount to collect (which is the balance) and type in the amount you wish to charge customer card #1 > that will fire up the terminal to collect the funds > then repeat.

WithWine keeps track of a Gift Card's original value and its current balance. If $50 of a $100 Gift Card has already been used, Vintner will display that to you. Similarly, if the customer only wants to use a portion of the Gift Card's remaining value, you can long press on the green Redeem button to nominate a value they wish to use toward the order:
