Design Refresh
We've given a few of the Back-Office screens a bit of a revamp - less pink, more white space, better spacing, more information and prettier loading spinners (very important!).
Let's start with the Orders screen where everything is condensed within narrower rows so you can fit more on one screen. We've also cleaned up a bunch of the labels (got a few more additions planned) and made the Order Detail side panel cleaner:
The same can be said of the Club Members and Customers screens:
On the Customer's screens, we've cleaned up the info labels and also made them more useful:
Before you were able to see who was subscribed to the Mailing List... now we've added a label to show who's an Active or Paused club member
If you've applied "Purchased" filters (eg. people who have purchased Chardonnay) it used to show you "[Filtered Amount] / [Lifetime Value]". Now it also shows you the percentage. Eg. in the the first row of the screenshot above, if a customer has spent $1533 on Chardonnay out of a total Lifetime Spend of $3175, we now display that $1533 is 48% of the Lifetime spend
We've done the same for email open rates, showing the percentage of emails opened instead of the count.
New Email Composer
We think you'll like this one... a lot.
Our previous email builder was initially intended for quick and simple messaging. It was really good for this... but it wasn't well suited for more elaborate content. Our new email builder is.
Highlights - You can now:
Build emails using a range of different "blocks". These include headings, text blocks, images, buttons (yay!), columns, images and HTML blocks:
Those that want to send club selection emails with a little more flair than the system generated ones will love that you can now insert Merge Fields into buttons and style and place them however you like:
When it comes to increasing sales conversions on email campaigns, one of the biggest problems is that the customer still has to do a lot of heavy lifting:
"Hey we've got this great offer... all you need to do is go to our website, add the product to the cart, and get yourself to Checkout."
What if you could do the heavy lifting for them?
That's why the coolest block is the Cart block, where you can build and embed a pre-filled shopping cart with a Checkout button that takes customers directly to the Checkout screen for the quickest purchase possible (i.e. it by-passes your website). You can even attach Coupon Codes:
You can add multiple Carts to one email:
If they've already got an account, or they're already in the WithWine app, or they've already for a login authentication token for your website thanks to the WithWine login (which almost 200,000 people do), when they click on Checkout from the email, they'll only have one more click to do on the Checkout screen, which is to Confirm the payment:
If customers want to add more to their Cart than what you've pre-filled for them before doing that though, they can do that from the Checkout screen itself too:
You can select from a range of templates we've built for you or you can create your own and use them for next time:
(For those who want to continue using HTML templates from external builders, we've kept the old composer there behind a new dropdown beside the Email button
Because you can now save Templates and (more easily) save Drafts, etc. we've made a few tweaks to the old "Sent Emails" screen, now naming it merely the "Emails" screen and adding more filters:
We'll produce a video deep-diving into the new email builder and share it with you in the coming weeks.
And now onto some great additions to Vintner POS:
Adding Order Notes
You can now add Notes to an Order while it's currently in Draft and after it's been completed:
You can even respond to Notes within Vintner:
Add Delay Dispatch Date
You can also add a Delay Dispatch date to an Order before and after its completion:
Thank you Rieslingfreak for these excellent suggestions.
Adding a Customer after Order completion
One of the big differences between wwPOS and Vintner is that on the old POS you could add the customer details to the Order after it was completed (via the Receipt screen) while on Vintner, you'd do it before the order was completed. We didn't do a Receipt screen in Vintner in an effort to reduce the number of screens/clicks staff had to take to get an order completed, but it turns out some customers would change their mind after it was too late... so now we've made it so you can also add their details after the order's completed:
Thank you Rieslingfreak, Cassegrain, Heifer Station and an array of others for this feedback!
Naming Parked Baskets
Now when you Park an Order, you can give it a Title:
Thank you Punt Road for this suggestion.
New Terminals
In preparation for the launch of Stripe's new card reader - the SIM card-enabled S710 - Vintner is now on the latest version of Stripe's SDK. For those of you who don't know, the S700 and S710 are internet enabled readers with a large and sexy screen. It can also present nicely when paired with a dedicated charging dock:
This adds to the array of other payment terminals available to use with Vintner:
Bug Fixes
A few bugs - mostly to do with Addresses - crept into the previous update. They have now been fixed.
Thank you Wise Wine, Grosset, Rieslingfreak and Saddlers Creek for identifying those for us!
New Spinners
OK, OK so this isn't a big deal... but we like little details like these:
If you have any questions or would like to learn more about these updates (or anything else WithWine), as always, please do not hesitate to reach out to us!
