00:00 Alrighty, so um let's start off with some stuff that we've released uh last week and a couple of weeks before um so last week we released uh a charge on sign up capability for your wine club so if you want to charge a joining fee for joining your wine club or a pay in advance. 00:30 of your wine club or whatever you can do that now so some people want to it was actually suggested to us by one of our clients who um who um they're doing a release and it was only available to club members um but their club run isn't for another x months so the release is before you know the release 00:54 is before the next club run so they didn't want people joining the wine club getting access to the release and then cancelling their memberships. 01:00 and and whatnot so they wanted to be able to charge people up front um a certain amount um so you know there's some lock in there um so we've made it for uh the two winery initiated type wine clubs so um because the system generated um clubs are they're typically taking a payment um right away at the 01:26 time to sign up because you're buying your first pack so you're getting your first order at this point. So for these two first so um either the winemakers pack or the editable winemakers pack um and there's just a there's a new a new section here called charge on sign up so we switch that on and it's 01:44 pretty simple um so you can say alright so you know what do you want the charge amount to be so when people sign up what do you want to charge them so it might be the value of their first pack. 01:55 Am I still going or did I slow down? Connection still good cool um so it might be the value of their first pack it might be a year in advance whatever it is so let's say it's let's say it's ah 500 bucks um and then you can say well how much credit do you want to grant so you could say hey the joining 02:21 fee is 500 dollars but you get 500 dollars credit but obviously you just guaranteed that 500 dollars um now you don't have to do that if you're Oh. 02:30 a winery and you charge if you're all like if you're like a golf course and you charge a joining fee and you don't get anything for that joining fee you just you just get the privilege of joining then you'd say all right well I'm charging 500 dollars that's the joining fee and you get zero back or you 02:47 might say hey yeah the joining fee is 500 dollars but you get 250 in the form of credit Or you might say the joining fee is $500 and you get $500 back, whatever. 02:59 Or, you might say if you join our wine club um you can you know there's no joining fee but you get a hundred dollars of credit to spend you know on our website or or whatever outside of your club runs um and this is where the credit class bit comes in so credit classes um are where you can lock down 03:22 what credit can be spent on um so you configure them within the loyalty and credit section, so you can say, I'll give you credit. 03:30 And you can use it on whatever you want or I'll give you credit and you can use it towards your club packs or I'll give you credit and you can use it towards the shipping component of your order so um so for example you might say to join our club is zero dollars um but you get a hundred dollars that 03:49 you can spend on wine outside of your club runs for example um now obviously if they don't go onto the website and buy a wine outside of You you get to keep your hundred dollars um but does that make sense? 04:07 Yeah, so that would get their pricing if their members pricing applied as well. Yeah, yeah so it's like you know and you can switch this on and off right throughout the year so you know you can do your campaigns and say anyone who joins our wine club gets X dollars of ah X dollars credit to spend on 04:27 our website. Now you can do that already in customers. But you're you're applying it manually. You're going to show me people who joined the club this month and applying credit. 04:36 This lets you automate that. Um but yeah again the main reason why we built it was so that people were joining the club and they're they're committed to the club because they've actually prepaid in advance. 04:50 Um the credit expiry typically I think you'd want to treat this like a gift card where you're you know legally you're making that 36 months not 12 months. 05:00 I'll see you time soon. What not because you are, you know you are paying in advance effectively. But I guess you could be covered by the teas and seeds of you of your wine club. 05:11 But um check with your lawyer. Um can you show the drop down again rich? Yeah the class please so you can you can specify whether it's for certain products only. 05:27 Yeah yeah. Yeah. So I'll that might be really, they might be really helpful to help move some slower moving stock for instance. 05:36 Um it's practically um you know giving people the incentive to you know pick and choose what might be uh slow moving stock for a winery. 05:48 Well actually as a bit of a tangent um as a bit of a tangent talking about credit uh we're we're actually a need to um gonna get one of our clients on these one of these calls in the next couple of weeks. 06:01 Because they're using credit um and they love it um because they have found so they do the you know um if you spend over this much dollars you get this much back in the form of credit. 06:15 Um and what a lot of people do is they just, you know they'll just sit back and let that credit expire, right? 06:23 Um whereas these guys are being proactive and they've got they've got someone on the staff and they've just said, You're just uh is to call people who have got a credit balance expiring this week and that's all she does is she makes phone calls saying, Oh hey by the way you've got credit expiring and 06:41 then the then the customer might say, Oh okay, I'll jump on your website and and I'll jump on your website and put an order and she just and she just says, Oh no I can do it for you now over the phone if you want. 06:53 I've got all your details and they just go, Oh okay. And apparently they said they're killing it with that because it's just a perfect excuse to call a customer. 07:00 Um so they're . and say, Hey I'm I'm doing something for you. I'm letting you know that your credit's about to expire. 07:07 So um credit is you know it's so different from hey I've got a 20% coupon only for today only. Um it's kind of like credit is like hey there's money in your wallet that's about to that's about to disappear. 07:22 Um you know you already own it whereas a discount you don't own the discount. Um so yeah so is that If you www.skeel Bye. 07:31 Is that all clear sort of charge it charge up front and do you want to give something back? Yes or no? 07:36 Um now in the background this creates a linked product. Um so basically because we've got to put a product on the customer's receipt. 07:45 Hey you spent $500 to buy um club joining fee or something like that. Um and then um with wine we'll put in in the check out um Bye. 08:01 Um it will put in a um it will put in a message saying you're getting charged $500 now and $500 credit is being applied to your account that expires in thirty six months for use against these products. 08:16 But if you want to put in a custom message you can so you can say um you know know well I won't do it but yeah you can put in your own custom message there. 08:28 Um so as I say pretty straight forward. But it's kind of cool like all the things that it could let you do. 08:35 I think it's kind of interesting too because you know people have got um people have got challenges with people signing up and then unsubscribing before the year is out or or whatever. 08:47 Um or people joining to get access to the special release and then canceling without doing any club runs. So this kind of mitigates a lot of that because you've taken the money upfront but also um for um know cash flow, it's nice as well because you're getting that money upfront. 09:07 So pretty pretty cool. Um, what that doesn't do. Uh question on that rich winery is currently on the clubs plan. 09:17 Um can they generate two different clubs that are separate from each other as such, one has a charger on signup and one doesn't so they're getting two lights into the cherry there. 09:28 Yep, yep. And they would just go would they be separate clubs or would they be crossover? Uh no they'd be separate clubs. 09:37 Yeah. Um so this is in so so this went out last week because a few few weeks before that um we did um uh this one down here so but I've we've already done a video on this so we can link to it but um we did put in the ability for people to um you know where you can say okay well if you're a club member 09:58 you can you know you can can cancel yourself after 365 days and you can skip you know one club run per year so you're putting buttons on your website that let customers do this themselves. 10:13 Um because you know if you know there are people churning clubs. Um a lot of people call up and say hey I want to cancel my membership but it turns out they don't want to necessarily cancel the membership they just want to skip one or two. 10:26 Um so um but you can you can give those buttons means to me. Do your customers so they can do it themselves so that then you're not taking phone calls and you're paying that admin. 10:37 Um and just while we're here too a lot of people don't know that this is here. Um but you can set it up so that um with wine will automatically retry failed payments. 10:49 Um it is defaulted to payment gaps in between. Um but we can change that so if you want it to be if you want it to be fine. 11:00 Five attempts with, five attempts with 48 hours between each one. We can change that on our end. What would be the advantages of having um that flexibility? 11:14 For for this? Mm hmm. Why would, why would a winery choose once every 24 hours versus five times every 24 hours for instance? 11:26 Um I mean. I can get some email. To say that their card bounced in or so it gives them the time to talk about or. 11:36 Well wait yeah so we don't do we don't do the payment failure emails yet. Um we we are going to do them. 11:43 Um certainly we're going to do push notifications in the app which is something I'm going to show you a bit later. 11:48 Um but it's really like I mean I know it with me if my credit card goes over my limit it takes me a couple of days typically to to do something about it. 12:00 Umm or I might not realize until you know until I'm looking at my statement and I see I've got a fee there for going over my limit. 12:09 So I think just typically it can take a couple of days for people to it can take a couple of days for people to to write the wrong. 12:16 Um the main thing is that if you do set it up you know you've just got to bear in mind that if you're doing your club run on Monday if you're doing your club run on Monday umm anyone with a failed payment you know you know not to you just got to know not to contact them for another two days because it's 12:37 going to be automatically retrying their credit card or if you if you set it up for you know five attempts over five attempts with a umm with a two day gap in the middle then you know that you don't call them chasing the money after for another ten days because the system's doing it automatically for 12:57 ten days. Um but we've done this for a couple of the clock. Once and umm you know they do a club run and they will have you know they'll have fifty payments fail umm and then it does a retry attempt after umm after two days and then it will go down to thirty seven then they'll wait another two days and 13:17 they do another attempt and it will go down to twenty one. So now you've only got twenty one emails or to send or twenty one phone calls to make. 13:25 So it does you know it does work umm sometimes also too it's just a case of of when the when people pay hitting their account umm a whole bunch of people get paid monthly they get paid on the fifteenth umm so you don't want to be charging them on the thirteenth because there may not be much money may 13:43 not be much money in the account. Umm. thats thats a really solid tip do club runs after the fifteenth. Yeah. 13:54 Yeah. Yep. umm so this is probably uh I mean I could jump on. . I'll show you the UI for this on the customer side but it doesn't really change much it's literally just it's inserting text down the bottom it's adding a pay and join button instead of a join button if the joining amount is more than zero 14:16 so umm yeah but pretty pretty straightforward.
