00:01 Alrighty, good morning everyone, ah we're now recording. We wanted to do something a little bit different this week being the new year we've found that a lot of people are looking to revamp their websites and either do a full rebuild or make some improvements and we thought we'd do a session on all things 00:23 websites all the possibilities that that are open to you, especially using our WordPress plugin. Uhm, around about sort of, you know, 90-95% of our clients use our WordPress plugin, so uhm, so we thought we'd show, do a bit of a show and tell about what you can do, uhm, with that plugin. 00:45 Uhm, now we've got Glenn from Noise joining us today. Uhm, Glenn has worked on the majority of websites, uhm, for Withwine clients using the WordPress plugin. 00:56 He knows what it can do, what it can't do, uhm, and he's way more technical than I am, uhm, so he's going to go through a lot of this, uhm. 01:04 With us today, but before doing that, I thought I'd go through my layman explanation which a lot of people have seen and heard before, but, you know, for those who haven't heard it, uhm, I say that a website's like a tap in a pipe, uhm. 01:20 Tap is the homepage, the about us page, the family history, the pictures of the dog, uhm, all the brochure stuff that goes on your website, uhm, that's the tap, and then the pipe is the business end, you know, the e-commerce store, the club sign up forms and all of that, so. 01:36 With Wine is a pipe business, right, that's where we see the deficiency in the market, uhm, basically for taps there are any number of uhm platforms that you can build a tap on, uhm, so getting a tap these days is not a challenge but getting a good pipe is, so that's why we wanted to focus on building 01:55 a better pipe, uhm, and then you guys can go and build your tap in WordPress or something else. Uhm, now there are some advantages to this as well, in the old days the tap and the pipe used to be built by the same company. 02:08 Uhm, they were welded together, and the problem with that is that you're beholden to that company for both the tap and the pipe. 02:16 So if you felt that the tap wasn't up to scratch, well you lost the pipe as well. Uhm, and the thing is is that taps can be expensive to build. 02:24 So, you know, lots of people would spend lots of money building this beautiful, glorious tap, and it's welded to a pretty crummy pipe. 02:32 Uhm, and so when they go off looking for a new pipe, well guess what, they've gotta get a new tap and spend all that money again. 02:38 So, doing it this way, you spend your money. You own that, it's completely independent of Withwine, so you're not beholden to us for it. 02:45 Uhm, and so, you know, if you wanted to get off Withwine, hopefully you wouldn't, but if you did want to get off Withwine, you can take Withwine out and you can put that tap somewhere else. 02:55 So, like I said, everyone wants a different tap, uhm, different colours, different styles, uhm, and so, to allow that to happen, uhm, you know, there's a couple of options. 03:08 The first one is using our WordPress integration. So, we've got as I said, most of our clients use WordPress, uhm, for their tap, uhm, and so, basically, there's a lot of flexibility, uhm, for what you can do and how you can stylise your website. 03:23 Uhm, and there are cheap options and expensive options. I always try to lean towards the cheap options, uhm, but tons of different examples of what you can do using the WordPress website, ah, sorry, using the WordPress plugin if you just jump into some of our clients' websites. 03:41 Uhm, actually, this is Lisa McGuigans here. Just a highlight, uhm, this is a still, but, uhm, you can have animations going, you can have videos playing, all sorts of things. 03:52 Uhm, and then another option is that you can build a website using our API directly, uhm, so this is what Punt Road did with theirs, so they, they built a full custom tap, they didn't use WordPress, they built a full custom tap, and then they used our, ah, used, plugged it directly into our pipe, ah, 04:12 without an integration. So, a few options, uhm. But, as I said, today we're going to focus mostly on WordPress, because that's what most people use, uhm, and so we wanted to go into some more detail around that. 04:26 First of all, why WordPress, uhm. First of all, it's the biggest, most popular, uhm, content management. System in, in the world. 04:34 Therefore, there are lots of developers, uhm, on the market who can build websites for you, and that helps keep the cost down. 04:40 I will say though, be very, very careful which developers you partner up with, uhm, there are good ones and there are bad ones. 04:47 We only point our clients towards a few people, Glenn is one of them, because we know him, we trust him, we like him, and he's a good operator, but we've seen some really shady operators out there, so do be careful with who you, who you get to build for your clients. 05:20 Have your mail sign-up form point towards MailChimp instead of WithWine, you can. A big one too that we will spend a bit of time on today is Elementor for WordPress. 05:34 So the old days of WordPress. Where you got, you know, your developer would go, hey here's a website, here's your website and here's how you make changes and they gave you this old really, really hard to use clunky interface uhm with uhm squares and and it was. 05:52 Not representative of your site at all and and that's where I used to say, oh WordPress is crap uhm but they've since solved that problem where Elementor is a drag and drop tool where basically, you know, what you see is what you get so it goes, here's your website and you can move things around and 06:09 whatnot. So, Glenn's going to spend some time focusing on that. And finally, uhm you know, like I said, you own it, right? 06:17 So, your website is built over here, uhm it's completely independent of with wine so uhm you're not beholden. To us, uhm for your website and so that means it's just de-risking it for you in the longer term. 06:29 Uhm, now today, uhm pretty simple, we're just going to go through some examples of what's possible using the WordPress plugin. 06:38 We're going to show you some examples and uhm along the way Glenn, uhm I might ask that we, when we show examples, uhm we'll, we'll categorise websites in the sort of small, medium and large budget range, uhm. 06:53 So typically we say to people. A small standard, small budget is sort of four to five grand, uhm a medium budget is five to ten and large is anything above ten generally. 07:07 Uhm a website, you can spend as much money as you want on a website. Uhm obviously we try to advise people to save their money for optimisation rather than the initial build, uhm but uhm yeah you shouldn't need to spend too much money to get something of really good quality, uhm and. 07:28 And something that you're happy with. So with that, I'm gonna shut this down and move things over to Glenn. Glenn I'm gonna make you full screen, try to make you full screen, and if you share your screen mate we should be good to go. 07:44 Thanks for having me join you. It's ah be good to just go through some of the ah new features and ah some of the old features as well, maybe that's some of the wineries, I mean the clients aren't aware of and sort of just go through ah yeah some of some of the You page building things like Elementor 08:02 Pro and what it can do you know that there's a lot of ah I think there's a lot of vagueness about you know what can be done in WordPress, so it'd be great to just show off some of those features of Elementor and you know ah probably excite a lot of people out there you know in what can be done. 08:18 So, what I'll do is I'll share as we've said and then we'll we'll take you through some examples and I can just sort of you know show you some of the new features of Withvine. 08:34 Cool, and I'll just before we get going I'll just make your screen I'll make your screen full screen. There we go, alright, uhm yeah. 08:48 Actually, sorry Glen I will actually put your, I think people will want to see, there you go, so there. Good to go. 08:59 Yep, getting a bit of it. Okay, sorry I'll turn my microphone on. Yeah, so as I uhm alluded to, you know, there's ah Elementor Pro which is, you know, used, it's used by about 15 million websites across the world. 09:18 It's got about 150 million community members, tens of thousands of developers out there, uhm, you know, you can always switch to the, to complete other tasks, uhm, there's a lot of support out there, so it's something that we love to use, ah, in building these sites because we know that, you know, the 09:37 , the clients and wineries have always got that support around it, uhm, to help them, you know, in the future, and it's something that's always updated and they're right on top of things, uhm, there's been a lot of improvements around speed, I know that's been something that people have mentioned before 09:52 . The last few updates have really, uhm, increased the speed of Elementor, and it's right up there with all the pro tools now, so, something that we love using, uhm, you know, it's a great balance between the freedom of design, sort of what you want, and the flexibility to make the process easier. 10:08 Uhm, it's just an awesome tool to sort of create, you know, custom layouts, uhm, I'll take you through some of the sites that we've sort of done in Elementor, so you can get an idea of what's possible, and what's uhm, you know, what, what the, you know, the totally different customizations that we can 10:26 do, so, you know, Lisa McGuigan is very, very different to a lot of sites you've seen out there, but it's built with Elementor, uhm, so if we take you through some of that, it's, you know, there's things we can do with animations, uhm, video, Yeah. 10:40 You know, Instagram plugins, lots of different things, uhm, you know, there's hundreds and hundreds of plugins that work with Elementor, uhm, so, you know, we take a look at Giant Steps, totally different type of site, uhm, there are you know, custom fonts, custom colouring, you know, and then we obviously 11:00 integrate with Wine into Elementor. Couple others, Dandelion, you know, we've got a video here in the heroes section, so. So, Tan, sorry, can I, can I just ask, so, so, you're building it on WordPress, but you're, so you're, you're building the WordPress website with Elementor, so Elementor is the tool 11:20 that you're using to build a WordPress website. Yes, that's correct, yeah, so, so WordPress comes with its own page builder called Elementor. 11:28 Called Gutenberg, now Gutenberg is very clunky, it's very hard to use, and I think it turns off a lot of, a lot of clients, you know, a lot of wineries from using it because of that Gutenberg page builder, but then we have Elementor Pro, which is an independent uhm page builder, that works very closely 11:45 with WordPress, so we install that plug-in, and then we use that as the page builder to build all the pages, all the layouts in WordPress, and it makes it super super simple to build those pages, so what I can do is, I can sort of take you through some of those uhm pages. 12:00 Page building tools, so you can see how easy it is, uhm it's a drag and drop editor, so what you see is what you get, like you spoke about earlier, so you know, it's uhm easy for a client to see what they're doing, and what it's gonna look like on the screen after they, they sort of made that change, 12:15 so. What I'll do, I'll jump into, I'll jump into one of our templates, uhm, so this is Elementor, uhm you've got a bit of a sidebar on the side here that has all of your elements, and on the right hand side, you've got your ah website, so. 12:32 It's kind of like we said, it's what you see is what you get, so when you look at, looking on the right hand side and making edits, you're seeing exactly as it's going to look like when you go live, so if I was to, you know, want to make some simple changes, you know, something like, you know, this text 12:47 , I can just directly type in here, you know, flowers of wine uhm in the Bourbon Bridge. It's just as simple as that, and you can see exactly what you're doing whilst you're editing. 13:00 Now, you'll notice over here in the side panel over here, we've got all of these boxes, these are called elements, and there's, you know, over 60 elements of different things that you can use to create your site, so you'll notice down here we've got images, videos, buttons, Google Maps galleries, ah 13:20 slides, flip boxes, sharing for all your social stuff, and templates, so templates are a big one, anything you create in Elemental, you can create as a template, so uhm, you know, if you really love a section or a page that you've made, you can just save that as a template, and then reuse that again 13:41 anywhere else in your site, so, super simple to do that, uhm, you know, it's a matter of just right clicking, and then hitting save as template, so, it's the kind of simple usability of Elementor that we see, so, if I take you through, you know, some of the site, you can see down here we've got an image 13:59 , and we've got some text on the right here, so when you're editing text, you could edit it directly here, you know, in, in the page, or you can come over here, and you really wanna get really granular, so you can use a WYSIWYG editor, I mean a text editor, to, you know, make changes to the headings, 14:15 bolding, you know, if I wanna make that a h3 heading, you'll see it changed on the right hand side here, uhm, and, you know, we can get into really fine, fine details of typography and, you know, change letter spacing and uppercase and things like that, or alignment, you know, we can change the alignment 14:33 here to be what it wants, uhm, so it's a really simple editor, you know, when it comes to things like images we can just click on an image here, click over here, and we want to switch that image for something else, you know, we want to switch it to this image here, just select it, and bam, it's in there 14:51 for you, so, really ah, a really simple, uhm, editor. Editing tool, and, you know, when I talked about, uhm, earlier I talked about drag and drop, so, just say we wanted to, you know, make another heading underneath this one, we just drag and drop it straight in there, and then we type away. 15:12 So this is the kind of simple things we can do, with Elementor, uhm. Can I, sorry, can I cut you off just real quick, because I saw, put, put your cursor in one of those text boxes, Yeah, uhm, slight tangent, because I saw the, the uhm create with AI, so Elementor's got like a AI tool as well, right, 15:35 so you can get it to write your website copy or something, or, is that right? It does, it does, so yeah, uhm, they have a, a, a pretty cheap subscription fee where you can, uhm, yeah, use Elementor to help you, uhm, write your website, so yeah, it hooks to, uhm, their AI tools, uhm, and there are, there 15:54 are some things around, uhm, in terms of layouts and things like that, and helping you with that kind of stuff, so there's some great you know, like I said, they're constantly bringing out new improvements and updates, you know, every, probably every fortnight or so, there's something new, exciting coming 16:09 out, so they're right on top of it, it's the most widely used page builder, so, you know, they're not going anywhere, it's, uhm, something that's constantly being improved on and, yeah, love it, love it, so that's why we use it, uhm, and you know, there's things we can do up here in terms of sliders 16:27 or videos or, Yeah, I think that was, that's something I've heard before. Or where, like, you know, the old, you know, using my tap and pipe analogy, like, some people might be using an older platform where, you know, the tap is welded to the pipe and they'd go, oh, we want an image slider, and they'd 16:43 go, well, we don't have that yet, uhm, and just to be clear, too, so you build it in LMS Elementor and then when you hand over to the client, you go, cool, here it is, it's all, so they get Elementor as well, they get to use it with Elementor and you give them a bit of training for that handover as well 16:59 , but then, if they want, they can reach out to you and you can do more. Building stuff if they don't feel up to doing it themselves. 17:20 Able to allow them to make the edits themselves. It's something that you know they can easily come in and do. 17:26 And we you know that's exactly what we want. We do some training ah with wineries with clients you know to go through how to make the edits you know and any questions they have and we record some videos and share that with them. 17:40 But then yeah you know if if there's something you know totally new that they want that you know they can't figure out how to do then we're happy to give them some pointers or build that build it for them. 17:49 So yeah we really like the ability for you know the winery to go away and just be independent you know and be able to make those changes if they want to do them but then happy to take on any kind of you know help or you know with or build anything new that they uhm they can't figure out you know how 18:05 to do it so yeah. Yeah but definitely it's it's an easy use tool and like you mentioned drag and drop which is I find you know the easiest sort of usability that you can have where you can just see what you want drag it across and then just make any changes that you want to that. 18:21 So that's elemental yeah it's uhm. Yeah great great to use and like I mentioned before great templates you can duplicate sections so you know I really like this section just come up here just go duplicate and then bam it adds another one underneath it you can start you know editing this section so. 18:40 There's no ah you know there's no dealing with custom fields or strict sort of uhm layout things that you know you're restricted in what you can do where you know you can only just type into one box and that's it or change one image you know you know we can change this to a video we can change this to 18:57 anything we sort of want and we can animate these things elements on the screen so we can get them you know flowing up or doing all kinds of new styles at some sites you see these days do so uhm yeah yeah so that's that's elemental so as I mentioned before we uhm we integrate with wine into elemental 19:18 so I think uhm yeah there's been a lot of improvements in the plugin you know a lot of uhm we've got the v2 new store design which is pretty exciting so I think it'd be good to sort of maybe touch on that, go through that yeah uhm so what I'm gonna do is I'll just grab one of these other tabs uhm and 19:36 we can start taking a look at that so this is v2 uhm so it's it's quite a quite a design change from the v1 design so it's very up to date in terms of you know it's soft approach, curved edges, the layout is just a lot cleaner and whiter and nicer uhm and you know it has multiple features sort of around 20:01 it, but in terms of the look and feel, I think uhm you know it's a great improvement and pretty ah pretty excited to be able to add this to new sites because you know I can see the really improves the look of those sites and you know and makes the users feel ah you know easier to make purchases right 20:20 when it's clearer to what you're doing so you know we've got a new cart ah you know the new try and like buttons up here uhm and different types of ways that we can add multiples and things like that and per borrow so I guess we can just go through some of the features in these uhm so you can see it's 20:38 been applied across a few sites now we're looking at Luwin Estate and they've got their styles so you can see the difference you know we can really re-style it to match the site it's something that you know it doesn't it's not a strict look and feel it's something where we you know get it to look integrated 20:56 with the site uhm you know dandelion here you can see it's a totally another look and feel you notice we don't have the try and like buttons there it's something that they've decided on on removing so on this page at least so you know there's that kind of customization that can happen and yeah so you 21:12 can see down here we've got you know the the bottle sizes so you can see on the other guys they don't have the bottle sizes you know they've got bottles so that's sort of a variation that we can make so there's lots of different new things that are exciting about v2 so we've also got you know a new product 21:32 details look and feel so if you look at this you'll notice now that we've got accordions so now we can really you know put things in accordions we can have them open or closed on on load we've got them open at the moment you know and we can add product lists underneath you know in the same style of the 21:55 new V2 so it's pretty pretty nice I'm excited about it because I think it really blends in really well with the sites that it's on now and it's just a really soft approach and just brings out the content to the forefront I guess so yeah let's touch on some of the features I guess so I guess I guess something 22:16 that you know not not just with V2 but you know V1 is around pricing so there's different types pricing that can be applied so there's a there's from pricing so you know if you look at Ren Wines here you can see they've got from price so that's like the lowest price per bottle so that's something that 22:37 we can advertise and then you know here you can yeah you can advertise the lowest price per bottle but then we can go into other things where we've got club pricing you know discounted pricing all that kind of stuff so there's definitely ah different options for pricing ah that you know some people may 22:56 not be able aware of so that's something that we can integrate in the plugin to show on this site. So if you so like some people just want to show some people just want to show the RRP other people want to show like the well the RRP. 23:12 Might be $30 a bottle but in NE6 it's $25 so I want to display the from $25 other people want to show the club price is $20 other people want to say log in to see the club's price so basically you've got all these options about. 23:28 You know about how you're presenting how you're presenting it yeah yeah yeah I know with Henshki we've got you know we've got the ability to have you know hide the pricing and then we have you know or sign in to see the member pricing so that's something that uhm that's definitely doable on this site 23:44 . I'm just trying to find an example for us I think okay yeah so we've got sign in to see members pricing here so you know you get your RRP but then you know members can sign in and see that pricing so there's there's different options that we can do around pricing that are available to us apologies 24:08 I'm just jumping around now. What I might do too I'll just chip in there quickly as well like tangent not that many people use it but we do also have the ability we're in with wine not this isn't a wordpress thing but just with in with wine we do actually have the ability to show one price to Australians 24:29 and a different price to US US customers so if you you've got a bottle of wine and you're selling it in two places it'll ah you know they can log the Australians can log in and see a hundred dollars a bottle and the US customers can log in and see a hundred and fifty dollars a bottle so there's a there's 24:45 a lot of lot of stuff a lot of flexibility there. So back to you Glenn sorry yeah no no no that's that's great great feature to point out it's yeah so I guess moving on we've got you know in terms of adding the bottles so we've got this feature now where we can you know add a multiple of a bottle directly 25:07 here in the V2 design so instead of just you know adding it to the car and then increasing the number within the car now we can do it directly here you know as we're adding it and we can see it updated here in the toast notification so instead of the car popping up just got a little notification here 25:23 that sort of tells us what's going on and you can see it's been added to the card over here so that's a great feature but there's also another feature where we can do multiples so you know if we've got you know it has to be you know in a six pack you know something like that we can just do it by sixes 25:43 so we can just do it by sixes you know by twelves so you know we've got over here we can do it by twelve so it just makes the whole process a lot quicker you know in terms of ordering and and you know usability for the client so I think it's it's awesome what else have we got we've got variations so 26:06 sorry what was that no I said I I agreed yeah yeah yeah yeah variations so let's take a look what are we looking at ah that's right we've got so we've got a thing called variations where we can have a drop down so if you've got a product that has you know maybe different sizing different value amounts 26:30 we can add that into the product into the store page in a drop down and it also appears on the product details page so if you look down here at Henshki's e-gift cards you can see they've got multiple values for those cards oh yeah it's sorry because you're sharing your window it's not showing the drop 26:50 down but but don't worry about that so basically when when when glenn you can see the drop down but when he clicks on it obviously it's showing all the different options it's just that's not captured by the screen recording so sorry about that but yeah yeah so once you click on it it drops down it shows 27:08 you know if it is a gift card we've got a hundred dollars two hundred dollars two hundred fifty dollars four hundred dollars five so there's the ability to have those variations right there on the store page which which is great instead of you know creating multiple products you know multiple merchandise 27:25 size you know t-shirt sizing things like that you know more medium large you're able to add it in directly there so it's a great thing to have what else we got, I've got out of stock so it's been a request from from a, from a you know a fair few wineries now to show products you know that are out of 27:45 stock you know to show them that they're there, or even show them on back order so that, you know, we know that they're out of stock and they're coming soon, so you can see here, you know, they've got sold out, we've got different bottles here, that are viewable in the store, but aren't actually purchasable 28:07 , so just trying to think of another example someone else who has this, I can't think off the top of my head, but yeah we definitely are able to show, you know there's this thing down here which is available to buy and all, so we can set that default in the filter to be all, so show all those products 28:29 that they're out of stock, but they still exist, you know and and you they might be coming back in, so that's something a lot of sites, wineries love do you have any ads for that Rich? 28:41 No actually but when you scroll down, I actually, personally I didn't know that you could have those little messages underneath as well. 28:48 You know, new vintage consume, this one's sold out, I didn't know you could have different Yeah, they are very large customizations Yeah, it's not a simple, that's definitely not something we just quickly do and plug in and change simple That is a customization that is, yeah, it's quite a large development 29:10 , but that is something that can be done So you know, there are options of things that we can do, you know, that we haven't seen before So there's always that, you know, it's always worth You know, it's always worth a winery, just asking that question, can something be done, and then we can find a solution 29:25 to it, so Always happy to, you know, that's a great example of something where it didn't exist, and then we've just gone away and gone, okay, let's figure out a solution to this, and we've come up with a solution for it. 29:37 And that's something about, you know, that's something about with wine getting some pretty big clients, is that, you know, they push the limits, and uhm, you know, they're always moving the bar forward, so, which, you know, obviously everyone then gets to benefit from. 29:50 Yeah, definitely, definitely, yeah. Yeah, cool. So yeah, let's talk about, uhm, other types of products. So, you know, as we're aware, we, we, we can't, uhm, there's not just the ability to sell wine, there's the ability to sell, you know, other things. 30:08 Uhm, so, if we have a look at Wise Wine, we know that they also, uhm sell spirits. So, there's, you know, there's spirits that we can add in there, uhm, and I know that Lisa McGuigan also what have we got here? 30:24 Lisa McGuigan also have, you know, they have shirts and things like that, and a whole lot of other kinds of merchandise, so it's not just wine, uhm, that can be added in, and we, you know, we can, yeah, work with a lot of other, uhm, yeah, types of products, uhm. 30:42 Have you seen any other examples, Rich, that I haven't mentioned? Uhm, ah, of course, when you put me on the spot, I can't think of anything. 30:51 But yeah, yeah. Well, actually, Wwise, I'll say too, this is more of a Withwine thing than a WordPress thing, but Wwise have, uhm, they've got, uhm, we had to do, or they had to set up, uhm, some customers. 31:12 Some stuff because, like, they go, alright, well, I've got a wine club and a vodka club, but the wine club got a different discount to the vodka club and they didn't want the wine club people getting 20% off the vodka, they only wanted them getting 20% off the wine. 31:27 Uhm, but, basically, they, uhm, they use coupons for their club instead of having a blanket club discount. Again, not hugely relevant to this conversation, but just since we're talking about spirits, uhm, you know, there's different things you can do there. 31:45 Yeah, no, uhm, that's a, yeah, that's another awesome feature. That's what I wasn't aware of, but uhm, yeah, that's pretty awesome that you can, yeah, fun fact. 31:56 So, uhm, yeah, I guess yeah, there's a few other features. Things that, uhm, you know, a lot of wineries might not be aware of, and that's in terms of, uhm, when we get to the product details page, so when we get a bit deeper into the products, I'm just trying to find an example, and there's a few, a 32:12 fair few examples here, uhm, Bryn Mawr at Elston, yeah, I think it's about Elston. Yeah, there's a few features, uhm. 32:26 Oh, here you go, yep. So, I guess the first one we come to here is video. So, video can be added, uhm, it can be added through, uhm, with Wine Admin, uhm, you know, it's a simple code, uhm, that can be added, and, uhm, yeah, once you, you know, if you upload your video on YouTube, then we can insert 32:47 it into the, uhm, into the product details page, so, you know, each of your wines could have their own video, you know, some kind of tasting, explanation, uhm, yeah, it's, it's great, great option to have, and I know Henschke have added it across a fair few of their, uhm, their wines, and I've seen a 33:04 few other ones. Wineries have added a video in as well, so, uhm, yeah, yeah, it's a great option to have. 33:13 Coming down further, tasting notes. So we can upload tasting notes into, with Wine Admin as well as PDFs, so, not sure if, you know, a lot of wineries will probably just add their tasting notes in here, but if you have, you know, a document, you know, you have a external PDF, then we can definitely, 33:32 uhm, you know, you know, the winery can definitely upload it and add it straight in there, so they can, you know, have a larger description, you know, imagery and, and, you know, talk about it a lot more than they probably would on the details page. 33:47 So that's a, uhm, great one to have and you can have multiple tasting notes, you know, for the different vintages. 33:52 So we've got, you know, all these years here, we can see, uhm, so that's a great feature that I think, I think a lot of people aren't aware of, so I think it's a good one to bring up. 34:03 Another one we have recipes, so, you know, we can add recipes as a PDF. But, you know, within WithOneAdmin, we can also add links, so you can see here, you've got one here, and this is just a link to another page for a recipe, uhm, you know, recommended food pairing for Mount Edison, so, you know, we've 34:21 added that there in WithOneAdmin, you can add that, you know, add a different one for every product, obviously, it brings you through to their recipes page for that product, so, it's yeah, another good one to point out, oh, lots of features, uhm, featured lists just trying to think of featured lists, 34:41 yeah dandelion, uhm, so if we go back to the homepage of dandelion, uhm, actually, something we haven't mentioned, uhm, in the shop page, uhm, that I think would be a good one to talk about, uhm, and they're not a good example of it, ah, here it is, hate landing on you, is sections, uhm, so we can section 35:09 off, uhm, the yeah, the different lines, uhm, on the page, so this is something that can be done, ah, it can be done in, with product lists, uhm, directly in WithWine Admin, or it's something where we can, you know, create our own, uhm, custom feature. 35:28 Feature lists, where you can add, uhm, you can add in whatever wines you want to add in to that list, and order them in any way that you want possible, so, you know, we do get a lot of wineries saying that, you know, I don't want that product first, you know, rather, that's a, that product probably is 35:47 , you know, is, is much too, much too expensive to, to put as my first product on the page, or something like that, you know, maybe not that, but, uhm, you know, they want to reorder how things look, so, through, you know, product lists, feature lists, we can, uhm, we can just create our own list, and 36:03 then, you know, reorder all those products in the way that we want them to appear. And you can also, you can also make different sections, you can also order the sections, right? 36:12 Yeah, that's right, you can also order the sections, so, you know, you can give it a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, value, and it'll add it to the page as well. 36:22 So that's something that it's definitely yeah, seeing, seeing a lot of, a lot of wineries take on board, you know, and being that ability to, yeah, order things and section things off you know, if they have special gone or special event you know, you might want to push that kind of stuff to the top of 36:39 the page, so you might have a list that's around, directly around that event or, you know, or that special offer that's, that's occurring that day I know in Black Friday there was a fair few different lists that we put together you know, and then there's other, and then there's other events on, there 36:57 might be something that's just particular to that event, so it's yeah, something worthwhile ah, looking at. Cool. Yeah, so that's, yeah, that's sort of featured list, you know, featured list of things that we can also, we can add anywhere on the site, so it's not something that can just be added just 37:14 into the store page, so if we take a look at Dandelion, if we get back to their home page here. 37:20 If you come down here, you can see they've got their own little list on the home page, so this is something that can just easily be added with a shortcode and they can show off, you know, some of the wines that they want to show off, and this is a list that they can go into, you know, the Withwine admin 37:35 and can change this list. It's not static, it's something that, you know, you know, one week you're promoting one thing, next week you're promoting something different, so it's something that we can add in there to show off those wines. 37:50 My membership. Ah, yeah, it's good for that, yeah, clubs and all that stuff, yep. Yeah, I think that'd be good for you to maybe touch on. 38:02 Oh, okay. Well, hang on, I don't have any, I don't have any examples up. Actually, yeah, I didn't have my, have my examples logged in. 38:13 I could, I could, yeah, I'm gonna take a look at Dandelion, maybe, or. Actually well, it's not the best example, but maybe Oakridge so. 38:24 Well, we can talk about it. So, in da da da da da, hang on, I'll just open up a window, see if, see if I can bring up an example. 38:36 We do have a, like a, my account, my, my membership ability. So, when you, you know, so you can go, cool, I want to log in and see my account. 38:50 And, now this isn't going to be this isn't going to be the best example because I don't actually have. I don't actually have a membership here, but, uhm, you can see that when I log, you know, I'm logged in. 39:05 And, so, it'll say, right, you need to log in to view your memberships, uhm, so, you know. When I log in, uhm, it'll come up and say, alright, well, here's your membership, here's the addresses we've got on file for you, here's the credit card we've got, here's your historical orders, uhm, so, you can 39:25 you can show all of that, uhm. Probably, I just wonder if we show Glenn, uhm, what we- You show Dandelion, uhm, you might be able to show some of that data, maybe around that. 39:38 Okay, let me just bring it up here. You can show all that data, but you can probably just show, you know, some of the, you know, tabs showing the- Actually, what about Curly Wine Co.? 39:50 Is it in Curly? Uhm, believe so. If I can just share, So, it's actually on the dandy line here. You can see they've got their My Account button up here. 40:09 And if you bring it in, I'm not actually logged in. Uhm, but if you ah, you know, if you take a look across here, You can show your address details, club memberships, your orders, your payment methods and tastings. 40:22 And, you know, these are things that we can, you can, you know, edit your address, make changes to your, uhm, you know, your club. 40:30 Things like that. So, it's a uhm, Great little tool to have and, you know, something new, uhm, that's been added, a new feature that's been added. 40:37 So, it's uhm, Definitely worth looking into. Can we just, just saying that, uhm, can we, can we cover tastings? Show that. 40:48 Now, we don't have many people implementing this, but it is, it is a unique feature, like, completely unique to Withwine, so I, I, I think it's worth talking about. 40:56 Uhm, so, Let me see if I can bring, bring it up. Here we go. Yeah, here we go. So, Withwine, uhm, you know, our whole thing is always, been about, uhm, you know, you're doing an offline tasting and how do you, how do you then traverse the gap between what happened offline and, and online. 41:14 So, you know, we're sort of going, okay, well, you're doing these offline tastings, be it in a cellar door or be it in a, in a, a restaurant or whatever, uhm, and you want to use that as a mechanism for converting people onto your database so that then you can remarket to them, right? 41:29 That, that's the whole point of Withwine. So, everyone knows about, you know, the app and what not, but uhm, you can also do it, in a web environment as well, so that, uhm, you can present your flights, your tasting list, your flights, uhm, in a web environment so people can go onto your website and 41:48 go, hey guys, scan this QR code, uhm, this is the, this is the tasting list. Here are the 3 wines that we've got, and when you click on taste, uhm, that is actually also logging, with wine, the fact that that customer visited venue X so we get visitation data as well, so this is just a way that we can 42:08 report. Place another way that we can replace the paper at wine tastings, uhm, so obviously they can do it in the app, but they can also do it on your website, uhm, as well, uhm, which you know, again, not many, you know, not tons of people use it in the web environment these days now that we've got 42:27 the app, but it's certainly, there's a widget there, uhm, to make it possible. So, thanks for showing that Glenn. Yeah, no worries, no worries. 42:36 They're nice little, they're nice little tiles and you can actually put pictures behind all of this as well, I think, can't you Glenn? 42:42 Yeah, yeah, you can, you can. Yeah, it's a great little option to have, uhm, and I just love the simplicity of it, right? 42:51 It's just, yeah, it looks easy, easy to use and easy to create, so. Well, and it's a little bit like, you know, again, Richard, Richard taking things off on a tangent, but, uhm, you know, the, the standard, you know, the standard, uhm, lists that people do are sort of, you know, uhm, you know, single 43:10 vineyard wines, museum release, uhm. Current release, you know, stuff like that, whereas, uhm, I always try to encourage people to, you know, have a little bit of fun with their lists, you know, girl's night out wines, impress the in-laws wines, hell of a monday wines, basically, because, uhm, you know 43:29 , you've got a segment of your, a segment of customers who don't know what single vineyard is, or they don't know what museum is, uhm, I know what it is now, but it took me a few years to, to learn it, but like, you know, if people go, yeah, I want wines that impress the in-laws. 43:44 Or, you know, great wine, you know, good to have a list, imagine like having a list for, you know, our, our recommended wed, wedding wines, uhm, you know, so wedding wines, you want to keep the cost down, but you want it to be good and suit a broad audience of people, so here's our wedding list you know 44:00 . Wedding, recommended wedding wines, so just some fun little ideas like that you can, uhm, that you can do with tasting lists beyond the stock standard, uhm, you know vernacular that everyone uses, you want to stand out. 44:16 So, uhm, yeah, don't be afraid to get creative with your, with your list names. Yeah, I totally agree, I totally agree, I think it's, it's more provocative and provokes me, yeah, to get more engaged if it's something that I understand. 44:32 It's not something, it's something that just seems a bit, you know, pushes you away when you just don't understand what they're talking about, so I think that's, that's great, great idea. 44:40 Alright, uhm, so I guess, yeah, there's one other thing we didn't touch on which is just around, uhm, layouts of the store, so. 44:48 Oh yeah? We've done something different where we've gone with this horizontal look and feel so it's definitely something that you know, it can be can be looked at and it's something that you know adjusts the mobile Yeah, you know if you want something that's in a way more comfortable way more different 45:21 to everything else that's out there then maybe it's something to have a look at so yeah, it's a It's a nice difference that they've made you know, and they've stuck the buttons over here Just yeah, ah point of difference It's quite a difference. 45:37 I quite like it. Yeah Also, actually I noticed too You've got on some websites on some stores you've put in Filters and in others you haven't so you've got the ability to you know If you don't have that many SKUs, you can turn the filters on and off Oh here you go, actually show this one, this is a nice 46:01 one Oh yeah, this is a great example of just filters and things that can be done with filtering so Yeah, beautiful example That is nice, isn't it? 46:12 Uhm, yeah, but as you mentioned, there's the ability to turn things off Uhm, you know, if we don't need certain things there, then we can turn them So uhm, you know, it's It can go as far as it needed to, really, and decrease as much as you want it to, so it's Something that's not, not locked in, uhm 46:32 Well, while we're on Chapel Hill, let's get into wine club stuff Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's right, yeah Uhm So, wine club. 46:42 Now, wine clubs, uhm Definitely something that, you know I've seen a lot of wineries use the basic wine club setup, but Wine clubs, we can also create a, a custom page where, you know, we can put all those details into the page, and it doesn't have to look, uhm, you know, as a set template style. 47:03 So, you know, we can create a wine club that's, you know, has your own imagery on the side, and all this kind of information here, and then we hit join, and that links through to the the join area, uhm, within with wine. 47:16 So, you know, something where we don't have to use the default wine club, uhm, shortcode for it, we can create our own, like, you know, beautiful custom page like this one, uhm, and link off. 47:28 But there's another option also, you know, when it comes around to you know, the user picking there's the wine club wizard, which is something new that, uhm, you know, we've only done a few times and I think it's something that would benefit a lot of winery. 47:40 So, we go to your pick and we click on Thank you. You know, join today for Bart and it'll take us through to this wizard which is visually stands out a lot more than it was done in the past. 47:56 So visually, you know, you can quickly just see, you know, what bottles you want to choose. Counts that you're gonna get, so I choose 12 bottles. 48:03 Brings us down, you know, how many times a year, so twice per year. And then we can visually see the bottles that we're interested in picking. 48:13 You know, which is, you know, before we just had a list, now we've got . . Something that we can visually see, we can click on and go and have a little bit of details for that wine. 48:22 You know, and as we go through it, just adds, adds the amounts up here, so we know how many we've got. 48:27 And once we hit 12, it should shoot us through to the next section. Let me know. Get up to 12. 48:34 Yep, here we go. And it gives you a summary of everything that you've chosen, and you come down here and complete your membership. 48:40 So, it's a great visual way you know, and a nice usable usability flow to go through the program. Yeah, that is nice, yeah. 48:51 Yeah, it's quite, quite, I love this one. You know, we've used it across a few sites now, and you know, the winers are very happy what they've got and the change that they've seen, so. 49:03 Thank you Something to do.. Anything else we need to touch on API rich? Did you want to talk about the API stuff? 49:12 Maybe? Yeah, yeah, maybe just before going to something else I don't know off the top of my head an example. 49:20 But, Glenn, you talked about product variations, you know, do you want the 750 mil or the magnum? But we've also got product options where you can say alright well, you know, you're buying this this part. 49:36 Or a wine, and you've got the option to have it in a wooden gift box. So that's again, so I don't, nothing off the top of my head to show. 49:48 I'm sure Hensheke would have one of them but you know they had it where like cool you want the hilly of grace. 49:53 Oh you want it in a wooden box. So. Yeah. Yeah but that's something else I thought we could touch on. 50:01 Let's go to, yeah let's go into API now. Yeah so as I said sort of Glenn has contributed towards most of the sites you've seen. 50:11 Geirdra at Honeycomb, she was she was mostly responsible possible for the reasoning break one. I'm glad you had a little bit of input on that as well. 50:23 Obviously, but, so, road is an example of one that Glenn didn't build. But so this is where again going back to my tap and pipe analogy. 50:36 They didn't build the tap in WordPress, they built the tap completely. Please. On their own as a stand alone. Umm, so this one, uhm, there are literally no limitations. 50:52 Basically if you can dream it up, you can build it. Umm, but Thanks watching! We should say that this is a more expensive option. 51:00 Umm, it's really nice, but it is a more expensive option. But umm, that's another thing as well. So, umm, actually one thing we didn't do, Glenn, was going to sort of, umm, sort generalize it. 51:12 General price ranges, I think if you sort of show people the, umm, the Spence Vineyards, uhh, that Spence Vineyard ones, uhh, that you had up before. 51:21 Umm. So, cause you know, we're, as I said, we've got this sort of. You the cheap, you know, the small, medium, large. 51:32 Generally, umm, for a sort of $4,000 to $5,000 budget, umm, you can get a very nice looking website umm, that does the job for what, you know, 80% of people want. 51:44 Right, so this is a good example. And, uhm, and you saw in, in Glenn's demo before that you can drag and drop. 51:54 You can add sections to it but, basically you want a website, here's a website, you know, four, five, four, five, thousand bucks. 52:01 Now where things start to add up is if you start tweaking, you know, tweaking around that, you know, ah I want square corners instead of round corners, I want to change the font, I want to change this, I want to change that. 52:12 So obviously you can change it all but then you know that's where. Mm. That's where you start adding to it but you know generally it's, generally it's more important to get the bloody thing up sooner rather than later and then do all your optimization after the fact. 52:29 So, but this is a good example of, of what you can get. Very quickly as well. Glenn, something like this you can knock up in what, just sort of one to two weeks? 52:40 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Somewhere in that time range, you know, obviously it depends on any customizations. Yep. Needs to be done. 52:47 But obviously it includes, you know, includes adding all the star guides, you know, all your colors, all your fonts and things that you know make up your brand. 52:56 But you know, if you want to go into, yeah, start getting a bit deeper in terms of, you know, adding extra functionality into the pages, then yeah. 53:04 Yeah, it can go a bit longer, but yeah, something like quick like two weeks, umm. Yeah, we can have it running. 53:09 Cool. And then your, your medium, your medium budget is sort of 5 to 10, umm, so yeah, so something like Lisa's. 53:19 Now, we don't need to say how much Lisa's spent, but we're just giving ranges, but you can see that, you know, her menus down, you know, her menus at the bottom instead of at the top, umm, it's a bit of a customisation, umm, you know, she's got the animations, so as Glenn and scrolls through, the bottle 53:37 kind of swings round, uhh, yeah, there you go. Yeah, that's it, yeah, there's a quite a, quite a price range, umm, you know, in the medium range it can go up quite a bit, umm. 53:52 Again, you can, you can throw as much money at this as you want, uhh, yeah. And then you're large, you know, so you're 10,000 or more, umm, obviously something like a, you know, something like and she, I mean they've got . 54:08 You know, they've got a lot of pages in there, so they've got the recipe pages, umm, they've got some of that custom messaging stuff that Glenn was showing before, umm, and obviously, you know, your punt road, being a custom, custom API job. 54:24 Umm, that was in the higher than the, and again, we won't say how much, because that's, that's their, that's their business, but it's sort of in a, in a, it's in the large category, but umm, you don't have to spend a fortune, I think is the main point. 54:38 Umm. Mm. Definitely not. Cool. Umm, I'm just trying to think, Glenn too, so we've covered. Yeah, I guess, I guess one of the, the newest things that have come out is Google Analytics, so we have some. 54:52 Oh yeah. Yeah, let's do that. Yeah. There's some. Home. Exciting stuff around tracking and tracking conversions, so we've got the ability now and we're just finalizing some of that stuff to start tracking the flow through your site all the way through to the purchase to check out success so that's definitely 55:16 something that's obviously valuable to wineries so yeah it's something that in the next few weeks I think we'll we'll be ready to start integrating for those wineries we would love to know. 55:28 So uhm take that on so. You know actually this is sort of is along what I was saying before about you know building for optimization you know rather than spending all your money on on the initial build. 55:44 Umm you know getting something out sooner and then putting analytics in to then see what you should be spending your money on. 55:51 Like a very simple example is that you know you can spend all your time building home pages about us pages recipes and all of this. 56:00 And then you put your analytics in and you launch your website and your analytics show that 98% of people go to your home page and then they go directly into your shop page. 56:12 Umm so then it's like well did you really need to build all that other stuff. Umm but you know likewise though if you're going to start doing recipes you know if you're going to invest in doing recipe pages you want to be able to see that people are clicking on them and using them. 56:30 Umm and then and, you know as you know all this stuff obviously takes time and you know someone someone's got to do it. 56:38 Umm but the thing is is that you might then Glenn be able to see oh okay you know when a sale comes in from the recipe page. 56:48 Page. The average value is x whereas when the sale just comes in via the home page the average sale is y. 56:54 Umm you know that's all the sort of data that GA4 has the potential to show us. Umm but yeah like and you can, I mean this is a job in itself, you know some people hire just analytics people just to go through analytics so again you can spend an inordinate amount of time on it. 57:15 But the main thing is that we integrate with it so that erm so that if you want to do it, that you can and hopefully the rain isn't muffling my microphone. 57:26 Sounds good for myself. Cool. Look mate that's that's that's probably enough for today unless you want to cover anything else off. 57:35 I think that's a good problem. You've covered a lot. Yeah. I think there's a lot of new stuff and a lot of stuff that we've brought to the forefront so I think it's yeah I think we've done well. 57:45 Awesome. So so guys as I said we're recording this so you can watch it again. Obviously if you want to speak to Glenn, we can introduce you to Glenn. 57:55 If you want to speak to Girdra we can introduce you to Girdra and there's a couple of others that we can do so Glenn is one of a few but as I say he he has worked on a lot of sites. 58:08 I don't know. for our clients and he's got a lot of experience. So Glenn I think that was good mate. 58:13 Everyone I hope hope that opens opens up a new a few possibilities for you. Obviously you've got any questions hit us up and we'll see you later. 58:24 Cheers. It's cool.
