00:00 All right, so thanks for coming. Good morning. So today we're going to cover off, we're actually going to go into advanced shipping in a little bit more detail, just covering off how we can actually said that up. 00:18 So the orders going to specific postcodes can be automatically set to fast way or Australia post or if you're in the U.S. 00:27 FedEx versus USPS, so you can actually say, if an order's going to this postcode you can actually say, if an order's going to this postcode, um, I want it to be fast way automatically, if an order's going to that postcode, I want it to be Australia post rather than sort of trying to do everything manually 00:41 with tags and blah, blah, blah. So we'll cover that off. We've had a couple of questions about gift cards. And how they work, and also just given that Christmas is coming up I thought I'd just show a few people a little known feature about how you can get some messaging up on your checkout. 01:00 Just to give people a heads up about you know, time frames and all that in the lead up to Christmas. 01:07 Also someone asked a question about MailChimp but what we're thinking with that is that Steve and I will actually do a video separate just on MailChimp because it goes into a fair bit of detail that we won't be able to fit in today. 01:20 So first of all it helps if I share my screen. So boom boom. So kicking things off kicking things off we're going into the advanced shipping. 01:36 So what I've done in this brand here I've just turned on advanced shipping. So for those who don't know, the, the normal shipping the normal, normal shipping setup looks like this. 01:52 Where it's, you know, free shipping. Or a flat rate national or a per box rate, ah, national or by state. 01:59 So advanced shipping lets you go into way more granular detail. So, now we covered this off in another video but we'll just set it up again. 02:09 So what we'll do is first of all we'll set up a shipping zone and you can set up your shipping zone to be, you know, east coast, west coast. 02:19 You can set it up to be metro, regional. You can set up individual states. So let's say we want to say you know, we want to do east coast. 02:30 And we'll say the east coast is ACT, New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria, and hey we'll even chuck in Tassie in there. 02:39 And then you can also put in postcode filters if you want, but for today we won't. And then we'll do west coast and we'll say west coast is South Australia, Western Australia, Northern Territory. 02:55 And you can even just set up a you can just have all of Australia and we'll just leave all, you know, and then that'll just be the default for all of Australia. 03:08 So that is our zone and then then we go in and say, all right, well, we're not going to worry about order contents rules. 03:20 And now we're going to put in a shipping carrier option. So in here we go, cool. We've got shipping carrier called Australia Post. 03:32 Is it eligible for free shipping? Yes. And then we've got a shipping carrier. We'll call it Fastway. Fastway. Whoops. Is it eligible? 03:43 Yes. And then we go to Save. Whoops. Don't want that one. Actually, and then we can do another one if you want called FedEx, for example. 04:04 And so with this, you can set up you know, you can set up you can give your customers the option of like Express or Standard as well and then, we've got our rates. 04:20 So we've set up our zones, now we're setting up our rates. So we go if the region is East Coast and they're using Australia Post per box. 04:34 It's of 12, we want it to be $10 for non-wine products we'll just make that zero, for gift cards we'll make that zero, and we say done. 04:46 And then we can say for the West Coast, default to Australia. So now if we go into a checkout screen, so I've put something in, I've put something in my checkout already I'll refresh this and so you can see it's defaulting to Australia Post. 05:23 So, and I'll say you know, if I said 161 Castle, Ray Street, Sydney, obviously that's going to hit on the east coast, so it's going to be it's going to be Australia Post and it's going to be 10 bucks. 05:39 If I change that to Perth then oh, hang on, did I get the, what's the Perth, Perth postcode? Maybe because I haven't changed the state. 05:52 That might help Queensland. I'm doing something wrong here. Maybe I should use the auto complete. What's a straight in Perth? 06:07 Swan Street. Obviously I'm just making this up as I go. There you go. And now that's changed to $20 because now we're in WA. 06:37 So that's, you know, that's all pretty straightforward. Now what I wanted to show you though was that we want to change it from Australia Postbend the default to FastWA if it's specific postcodes. 06:54 So let's say the winery is let's say the winery is you know, wanting to do local shipping and for local stuff they just want to do that with FastWA. 07:04 So we go back into the shipping and what we can do is set up a, set up another shipping zone and we'll call this, we'll just call this FastWA. 07:20 Postcodes and and we're not gonna, what we'll do is we'll say they're in New South Wales and then we're just gonna add a list of postcodes. 07:33 So if I say 2096 is a postcode that I want to be a fast way postcode, so I add that, so I go done, hit save, and then I set up a new rule. 07:48 Or set up a new rate, cause I've got fast way here, so I go cool, new rate, so if if the region is fast way postcode, so if the region is this postcode I want it to be fast way. 08:04 And then, same thing, per box, it's a rate of, you know, $9, for this we'll do zero, and we'll do zero. 08:13 Done. Now the thing is, you'll see that you can actually order these rules, right, so what it's doing is when it's doing a post, when it's doing its thing, it's going, cool, rule number one, does it make this criteria? 08:25 If not, does it make this criteria? If it does not, does it make this criteria? So what we want to do is actually put this rule at the top. 08:33 So the first thing it's doing is checking whether it's a pass-way postcode. And if it's not, then it will look and say, is it an East Coast postcode? 08:41 And if it's not, is it a West Coast pass, ah, West Coast postcode? So we hit save on that. Okay? 08:50 So if we go back into our code, check out and I'll just hit refresh here. So we've gone back to so we'll do So if we said 161 Castle Wray Strait in Sydney, right, Australia Post Australia Post 10 bucks. 09:17 But then if I change it to 2096, you can see it switches to fast way. 2097 goes back to Australia Post and then, so what you can do here is obviously you can say, alright, well, I want to edit the I want to add more postcodes to my fast way postcodes list. 09:41 But if I said it's not just 2096, I'm going to add some more, it's 2096, it's 2080 and it's 2700, for example, and of course I'm just making this up, I'll just copy that, sorry. 09:57 For a minute, 2080, hit save, hit refresh over here, so same thing, and if I go so if I said 161, castle array, cool, Aussie post. 10:13 And if I change that to 2080, there you go, switches to pass away, and back. So that was all I wanted to show there and I hope I didn't go too quick, but main moral of the story is you can, you can set which postcodes you want to be fast away, and which postcodes you want to be Australia Post. 10:40 And obviously there's no limit that you can do there, and you can settle set up. You don't have to do postcode lists, you can do a postcode range and so on. 10:50 So just wanted to go into more detail on that advanced shipping setup for you. Okay, next up I was gonna go in. 11:01 Into gift cards. So gift cards down here in products, we're gonna add gift cards, and then first of all we'll go into how you set up a gift card and then we'll go into how you can use them and redeem them. 11:18 So first of all give it a name, Winery, if I could type Winery gift card this is a gift card blah blah blah. 11:34 Now, here, you've got your credit classes. What can the gift card be spent on? So actually I skipped a step here because I haven't set up the credit classes for this, ah, for this brand yet. 11:45 So I'll go into loyalty and credit. Sorry, my bad. Set up the credit classes. First, I'll go into loyalty and credit and I'll create a credit class and call it standard credit. 12:00 Get saved. Cool. And now I'll go back and set up my gift cards. So, it's a gift card and we can say, you know, it's a $100 gift card, for example. 12:17 Okay, credit class, what can this gift card be used on? Well, it can be used on anything. It's a $100 gift card and it's valid for 36 months putting in your T's and C's. 12:32 And you can download a preview of what the gift card looks like, you can add your SKU codes. And then obviously you can sell your gift card for $100 bucks or what someone did during the week was they actually wanted, for Christmas, they wanted to give gift cards away to people. 12:49 So they actually set up $50 gift cards and then they purchased them themselves, but they did a price override. So instead of paying $50 for the gift card, they purchased the gift cards for a dollar or for a couple of cents. 13:05 And then, you know, so that they can then print out a whole bunch of gift cards and give them out. 13:12 Is it for sale? Yes. Is it available on e-commerce? Yes. Or no. And like we covered in another video, you can create a variation. 13:22 So you've got a $100 gift card, a $200 gift card, a $500 gift card and so on. For, for the sake of today, we'll just stick to doing one gift card. 13:32 Okay. So if I go back into so now if I find a customer. And actually I might even try it on the website. 13:49 See if I can do it on the website. Probably won't be there yet if I refresh. Obviously this is our dummy. 14:03 I'll need to add some stock as well. And a thousand of them. If I've got my stock locations this is one of the problems of using a new brand that I haven't used before. 14:29 So call it Warehouse. Yes. Yes. Yes. Cool. Okay. Got a thousand gift cards available for sale. Done. Go back in here. 15:07 And, let's sell one. So, if I've got a customer. I probably shouldn't be doing it in this brand because I haven't set this brand up. 15:24 Which is really annoying. No, I haven't. So, I'll jump into this brand. I need, I needed to use that brand because it didn't have, it had a clean advanced shipping set up. 15:36 That's why I was in there before. But I'll go back into this other brand. Where I don't have all this locked down. 15:43 So, we'll get just some customer. And we want to sell them a gift card. So, I've got a $100 gift card. 16:02 Cool, you're buying one of them. Now, this is where you can override the price. Alright. You can say it's a dollar if you want. 16:11 But if you're selling this at pause, obviously you're going to be selling it for a hundred bucks. Do your summary, proceed to check out. 16:24 So we'll go, right, Richard. You don't need to know what my birthday is. Now we do get you to put in an address. 16:40 Still because some people like to, you know, ship out a thing with the gift card. And then phone number, blah, blah, blah. 16:57 And we can pay on invoice if we want as well. Or we can just pay on card. So I'll just use my dummy. 17:11 Go away. I know. So this is how. Our staging environment too. So our staging service is a little bit slower than the real life one. 17:45 There we go. Oh no, not yet. Got a super slow. Super slow. Probably should have done pay on invoice. There we go. 18:07 So obviously the real world isn't that slow. Again, that's just our staging server. Okay, so we've got we've got that order here and so, and the customer's been sent their gift card but just for the sake of today, I'm gonna download the gift card as if I'm a winery. 18:39 There we go. And here's my gift card. So, now what we can do is so this is what the customer gets. 18:49 This is the PDF that they get and they can click on Redeem or they can scan the QR code but also at the point of sale you guys can scan the QR code as well. 19:05 So if I've got a customer here and then I'm going to payment screen, I want to use the gift card so I can type in the code or I can scan the QR code and that'll open up the camera. 19:22 I can hold the gift card up and it'll pick up the QR code so you can redeem this at the point of sale as well. 19:29 So but so what happens is this PDF I can put that in my pocket and carry that around.. Mm. And just hold on to the hold on to the gift card the physical gift card, but let's say hypothetically I don't want to carry around this physical gift card with me everywhere, but I do want to put it on on my account 19:53 . So, Bye. Again, I can scan the QR code or I can redeem the voucher here. And so if I click on this, what it will do is it'll take me to an account screen and this is where I can say, all right, well, I want to I want to put this on. 20:10 What's the total? 12, 12, 23. So I can actually attach this gift card to an account so that then it's not, you know, then I don't have to worry about the . 20:30 The physical card anymore. So there's my code. Dude, the password laid out. Oh, you can see it's automatically picked up the gift card, gift card number, so I go redeem. 20:55 Thank you for today's video. Done. And so basically now I can throw out that PDF. And so when I go to check out as that customer, the credit will be sitting there in my account ready to spend. 21:17 So let's get that customer ID. This I can show you. I'm not a customer yet. I have haven't purchased yet. 21:32 So that's what I can't show you. Let's go. Let's go into or just add a customer. We'll add that customer to the main list. 21:48 Oh, blah, blah, blah. We're not putting cod on fall. You're a subscriber. Cool. So they should be in there now. 22:08 There he is. And so I want to create an order. You're buying some Shiraz. Alright, proceed to check out. And when I scroll down, you'll see his credit, his $100 credit is sitting there ready to spend. 22:34 And yeah. Now, he can actually say, I don't want to use the $100, I want to save that for later or I want to use $50, you know, whatever it is. 22:44 So, you know, he's got that flexibility as well. But long story short, it's now on the account and it's good to go. 22:51 And also, We'll see you in the next video. So, um, if that customer has got the with one app on their phone, that credit balance is also showing on their, um, on their meet up here in their wallet up here. And they can see when the expiry date is and so on. 23:09 And then of course, because now that's a credit on the customer's account, you can, you can use the filters, you know, show me people who have a credit balance, show me people who, who have got credit to spend credit expiring in this date range, blah, blah. 23:26 So you can see he's got standard credit and it was, it was purchased, i.e. It was a gift card and he, and it doesn't expire until until 2025. 23:39 Okay. Okay. So that is that. That's gift cards. And then final thing I wanted to show you was Christmas messaging on checkout. 23:56 So if we go back into we'll use this one. So messaging on checkout there's a few ways you can do it. 24:09 If we go to the website tab here, so settings and then and website. Now you can add in a banner, you know, which you saw at the bottom of the previous checkout screen I was using wherever that went. 24:25 I think it was so green way. Bye bye. Stage. I want to buy this just so I can show it to you. 24:47 So basically this is this is where you can say, oh, sorry, this one here. Check out that. You can put some messaging below the below. 25:00 The Pay Now button. So this is where you can say, thanks for your purchase. Don't forget to follow us on our socials, etc, etc. 25:09 Or you could put some messaging relating to your payment down here. So basically that is all below. The Pay Now button. 25:18 But up here within the shipping section, you can put a little warning up here as well. So this, this one's more permanent whereas this one's intended to be sort of switch on and off. 25:33 Thanks for watching! So what you do is scroll down a little bit and it's the address authority of leave disclaimer. 25:41 So basically you can use this, you know, you can use this to say hey because of the heat, we're going to, shipments are going to be delayed or you can say hey Christmas is coming up, please note that shipments can take up to two weeks, whatever. 25:54 Or you can say hey, please note that if you're in South Australia, we can't do authority to leave, right? So this messaging to do with the address is down here at the bottom of the website settings tab. 26:12 Okay? So that's the main stuff I wanted to show you there. And Thanks for watching! That was the bulk of it. 26:27 So relatively short one to date, but going into a little bit more detail on on a few things that people are asking about in the lead up to Christmas. 26:38 So that's it from me. And now we can do some questions if you want. So and I know everyone's muted by default. 26:48 So sorry, I'm looking at my screen again now. So anyone want to? Thanks for watching. Anyone want to ask some questions? 26:56 Hey, Brett. Yeah, man. You're on mute though. So there you go. Yep. No, so in that case you'd say 2000 to 2004 and then you'd do 2006 to 2100. 27:33 Yep. Yeah, so now in that and we actually were going through this with the client yesterday. Thank you very much. 27:42 So for P.O. Box, it doesn't, it doesn't pick up P.O. Boxes automatically. So that's where I would use this messaging on the on the address section to say please note if you're sending to a P.O. 27:54 Box. It must be, you know, you must use Australia Post. So, you know, you can, if you're giving them the choice of fast day or Australia Post, they've got to choose they've got to choose Australia Post. 28:10 But, Bye. Yeah, but I think, I think more realistic, yeah, I think more realistically you, you would be managing that in the back end yourself. 28:30 Rather than trying to tell the customer to do it. I mean, you can give the customer the option between Australia Post and Fastway. 28:38 But if you want to, if you want to handle PO boxes by yourself, then, you know, what, so what we did with this client yesterday was we did. 28:46 Just got their customer list, we exported it to CSV sorted it to see who or, you know, their club members, for example sorted it to see who we're going to a PO box. 29:01 And then we just added Thanks for watching! We added a tag to everyone who had a PO box so that when you're in the order screen getting those out, you can say, you know, show me everyone who have the tag PO box, for example. 29:18 So. Yeah, yeah, yeah, and that's that's kind of like the final. . . . . Safety gap, right, is that if it's got a PO box in the address, past way won't let you purchase a label. 29:42 So, so you can manage it because all these, you'll see here the back in back in the brand I was using over here. 29:50 You when I'm using the carrier, see here, so it goes cool. These orders are Australia Post. These orders are fast way. 29:58 These orders are FedEx, right? So all this is doing is adding another filter on your order screen. You've still got to, you've still got to purchase the labels. 30:06 Tools. But this is saying, right, you know, so your staff are saying, right, I've got to get my fast way people out. 30:13 So I'm filtering by fast way and then I'm buying the fast way labels. But yes, if you try to, if you try to purchase a PO box label from Thanks for watching! 30:23 Fast way, it'll say you can't ship to this address or it'll say it'll come up with a failure message. Cool. 30:37 Okay. Anyone? Ah, yeah, yeah. So exactly the same thing. It's just, right? Bye. Any transaction yet, it's looking at the postcode and it's drawing the rules off that postcode. 31:04 You're right. Yeah, so I think that's because yeah, at the moment most people, and I wanted to show it to you because like, most people are handling fast rain Australia post. 31:14 They're doing it all manually and they're doing it with tags and it's starting to get messy and, you know, it's hard to scale. 31:20 So that's why we thought, well, we've got the advanced shipping rules. We'll show you how to do it. Because then you can, you know, you can clean up. 31:27 Thanks for watching! And it's just a lot less work for you guys to do in the background, especially, you know, especially if you've got a thousand people in your wine club, you know, trying to, trying to do all them manlies, a bit of a pain in the ass. 31:41 Cool! Any other Thanks for watching! questions? Alright? Jolly good! Alright! That was a short, sweet one today. So thanks for popping along guys. 31:57 And as I said, I have been recording this, so I'll put that up in the in the help section of the chat which is as well, but if you guys don't have anything extra, I've got nothing extra, so, and we can call it a day. 32:10 Cool! Alright! See you later guys, thank you! Bye!
