Requirements:

  • WithWine's Advanced Pricing module: let us know if you don't have this yet - we will activate it for you for no charge. If you complete the steps below and don't see any "pink pill" buttons that let you add products to the cart, it is because you need Advanced Pricing

  • An iPhone or iPad running iOS 17 or later

  • Tap to Pay on iPhone requires an iPhone XS or later (not available on iPad)

  • If you're not using Tap to Pay on iPhone (eg. if you're planning on using Vintner on an iPad) you will need a Stripe Terminal. Please reach out to us and we will order one (or more) for you.

Because Apple don't allow Staging/Test apps on the App Store, please follow these steps to get Vintner on your device:

  • Click Install:

  • Turn on Automatic Updates

  • Open the app

  • Click Login:

  • Enter your login credentials for the Staging Environment. Note: if you have not yet setup a password, simply go to stage.WithWine.com > click on Winery Login > enter your email > click "Proceed without password" > check your email for an email with a 6 digit code > enter that code into the next screen back in your browser > in that same screen you can enter a Password > once you finish that flow you will be able to use that email/password combination in Vintner.

  • Note: up the top you will see a yellow Staging Environment / Product Environment label. You want the Staging Environment (if you already have credentials for Production/Real World you can use this test build of Vintner pointed to your real world environment to try out new features before they're released to the App Store.

  • Tap on the three dots in the top left to bring up the background Options and Settings page:

  • Check you have the correct Destination (Venue) selected

  • Then click Settings

  • Tap on Card Readers

  • Turn on Card Readers

  • Allow any requests for Bluetooth Access:

  • If you're on an iPhone XR or newer, tap on the Tap to Pay on iPhone option

  • Click on Allow While Using App

  • You can now tap the Back button or swipe that screen away (tap and hold at the top of that page and swipe down)

Some tips:

  • Tap on Filter & Sort to bring up your POS Categories. If you don't tap Filter & Sort, that sidebar will stay there... or you can select a POS Category and close the sidebar again

  • Text search can be a quick way to find the products you want (especially if you have a bluetooth keyboard)

  • The three dots in the top right are Status Indicators for Printers, Card Readers and Internet. Green is good. Orange is ok. Red is bad.

  • Tap on the pink pills to add products to the Cart

  • Long press on the pink pills to bring up a keyboard (to add items in bulk)

  • Tap on the product itself to bring up background options (eg. Glass Variations) or additional information about the product

  • Tap on the three dots on the left hand side of the Tender button to bring up Cart-Level options (eg. Discount the Cart, Add Coupon Codes, Switch to Shipping instead of Pickup)

  • Tap on the products in the cart to bring up Product-level options (eg. Discount the product, Price Override, Update Quantity)

  • Swipe from right to left on a product to remove it from the cart

  • Tap on Add Customer to link the order to someone in your CRM or a New Customer (their email address is the user ID so whilst you can search by name and phone number, results will be found quicker if you search by email address)

  • If someone wants to join the club in the middle of an order, tap on their Name then View Profile > in the Clubs section tap on the + to initiate a club signup process

  • In their Profile you can also add Tags and Customer Notes

  • Tap on the Tender button to pay with Card (default) or long-press on it to bring up Cash, Manual Card Entry and Card on File options.
