00:03 Cool. So, all right, we're on. So, I'm just going to go in. So, you are asking about, um, gift cards. 00:14 Yeah, it's really, um, uh, where they can set sort of tier discounts or auto applying coupons for gift cards in the same way that you can for other products. 00:24 We basically want to do a promo on gift cards through going into Christmas. And it looks like the same functionality doesn't exist for gift cards as it does for other people. 00:33 products. Okay. It does behave a little bit differently. So yeah, you can't put a coupon code on them. But you can sell them at a different, you know, you don't have to sell them at the face value. 00:51 Yeah. So they just get tricky if we're selling two different groups, like we all often do one price for one set of customers, one for another. 01:04 There's maybe a way we can manage it, but you can't have to create parallel products. And then make some visible to some people, some visible others. 01:13 Yeah. Yeah. Oh, sorry, I'm in headphones. That's not the right spot. Products, cards. Yeah, I know what you mean about. 01:36 You can make the cost of the gift card or the purchase price, different to the value of the gift card. 01:44 Yep. Yeah. No, because they are kind of set in stone. Yeah, you don't have that same, yeah, you don't have that same sort of a bad price thing because they're actually, yeah, because you know how the gift cards issue credit at the end of the day, like the gift cards, just like a, it's a payment type. 02:05 And so when you've got the PDF, the the value sitting on the piece of paper and then you can convert that value from the piece of paper to to the customer account so I can redeem it and just store it on my account so it's there. 02:21 Yeah, so yeah, you're able to say, yeah, you're able to say, You know, obviously lock it down to what it can do, and so you can say, yeah, it's $100 gift card, but yeah, you are, you know, you can say it's $95, but you'd have to, if you want to do different deals on different gift cards, at least where 02:55 people are buying than themselves, you'd have to, I mean, you could lock it down. So, you know, club members get to see the, A lot of other things. 03:09 Okay. Yeah. So you can do that. You just can't set different prices for different groups. So if, let's say you're doing an order over the phone, you can discount the card down to zero if you wanted to. 03:27 And people do. So I think that's one way where you can say cool public facing the $100 gift card costs $100. 03:38 But for club members you'd be able to say, well, eight club members, if you log in, you'll see club members, club member cards which are priced differently. 03:50 I think there's always an extra level of complication for us, always because we're not on a WordPress site. I imagine when you set Yeah, of course. 03:58 Yeah, so we have to do an extra couple of steps like in terms of how we display a product on our web page is more manual. 04:08 We've got some workarounds but I assume we've a WordPress site like you've got the products and whether someone's logged in or not that'll populate what they do for your products. 04:18 It's a little bit more complicated for us but we have, I've got to work around. Okay. Okay. That's okay. That's that's fine. 04:25 I just wanted to confirm that. All right. We give cards. I went through and tested them and it seems like they're sort of like a preloaded amount of credit that when someone redeems it just dumps into their account and and then it's done. 04:44 So it's it's not so much like the you know like the old school cards to be like, I use $20 of my card and I've still got $30 sitting on it and you're carrying it around like money. 04:53 It's not quite right. No, you can do that. So basically when you buy the gift card, you first of all, you get the PDF. 05:03 So the PDF will have the, you know, the PDF will have the value and all the links and whatnot to redeem. 05:13 Now, if I just, if I walk into the sell it all with that PDF and I only spend $30 with wine, we'll remember, okay, next time they scan that QR code it will say $70 left and then I can use it again and 40 dollars left. 05:29 So it is tracking the balance, But then what we do for customers is where it's kind of just like the Apple iTunes store where if I've got a gift card, like a physical gift card that I don't want to keep in my wallet, I can redeem that to my account. 05:51 and then that $100 is now sitting as a credit balance on my account to spend, you know, up until the expiring date of the of the credit. 06:04 Okay. Because the way credit is set up for us and maybe how it's hardwired set up is that it can be used on online purchases. 06:12 Yeah. Can't be used in physical purchases, but if you could use this gift card and a physical seller door purchase. 06:19 Yeah. you are coded. So you can definitely use gift cards in the physical realm. Now, just as a bit of an aside, we built credit deliberately, so it was only redeemable online because the whole point was sort of we want to encourage more repeat purchases online. 06:43 So yeah, but we originally thought you know with that spin and save loyalty program we thought well you don't want you don't want someone spending money in the cellar door and getting back into their car and they've got an email that's in there going you got $20 credit and then they get out of the car 07:02 walk back up to the cellar and say I'll get my free bottle please. We want it where that credit is a redeemable online where they have to spend another $200, but and probably enough to make our point on the first weekend or the second weekend after we built all of that, someone did get out of the car 07:25 and go back to the seller on to say, hey, can I please get my free bottle? But saying that I think it's sort of come up enough where people do want to, where it's redeemable in the cellar also with Vintner, the new pause, not that it's in Vintner yet, but we have got plans to make it so that the credit 07:47 balance can be used at the point of sale. If you did want to use, and again, this is a little intangent, if someone did say, I've got a $200 credit and, you know, if they really, you know, if they started getting nappy and they started demanding that they start, that they'd be able to use it in the sell 08:14 it all, you can put that through as payment type other, you know, just to a split payment and go cool payment type other and then you can just go into their account in the back end of with wine and just manually cancel the credit. 08:25 So, there's a bit of a workaround, it's just not as nice, but I think at the end of the day too, the spend and save stuff. 08:35 I mean, it's free money that you've given away under your own terms. So I tend to think customers, they play by your rules, not theirs, anyway. 08:46 So gift cards. Yeah, well, the gift cards and the QR code in person, what do you scan that with? We're on iPads, payment terminals. 08:57 OK. Yeah, so on the iPad, I'll bring it up so there's actually a button to do so you go cool and then when it comes to the payment so you can say all right I want to pay with gift card and then if you haven't got if you haven't given camera permission yet it'll ask for camera permission. 09:29 But if you have given camera permission, you've got the back face and camera and the front face and camera and you just scan the QR code. 09:37 Okay. As long as they haven't clicked that redeemed button. So if they've done that, it's done in a credit. Now, well, so we have had instances where the customers have redeemed the credit onto their account. 09:54 So the value, that hundred dollar value has now transferred off the PDF onto their account, which means that you can't use it. 10:06 Yeah, we actually, that started coming up a couple of times. So we actually have a switch on our end where we can switch it on so that even if they've redeemed the gift card onto their account. 10:22 It'll still sit on the value wheel. The QR code will still work as well. So it's a little bit less. 10:31 Yeah, so we switch it off by default because obviously if I redeemed the $100 onto my balance and then I tear up that piece, or I scrunch up that piece of paper and chuck it in the bin, that piece of paper is now worthless list because the balance is now sitting here. 10:50 But if we flick this switch on, the balance will work here and here. So obviously if I leave that PDF lying around and someone picks it up and spends it before I do, it'll use my balance. 11:03 So that's why we switched it off by default, but we can, you know, it comes up once in a blue moon with like one or two clients. 11:13 So we thought we'll switch it on for you because it seems to happen to them a lot, but yeah, it's there if you need it And I'm sorry to ask that there's lots of questions out this gift cutting, but the the other thing I noticed is that when you redeem it and the credit gets dumped into an account I think 11:33 it and you go to pay online. I think it preferentially still uses the oldest credit first which may be customer-spent credit or loyalty credit gets used before the gift card credit gets used. 11:48 That part, that wouldn't surprise me. Obviously it's using whatever credit is valid for that purchase. 12:04 You know, because you know how you've got these credit classes. So, you know, so if I've got one, if I've got one with one dollars and one with standard credit, it'll just pick which one valid. 12:19 But as I say, if it's using the first to be the first to expire, that wouldn't surprise me. Yeah, yeah, okay, I'm something that you, I don't know if you're across it or not, but we also about Oh, about two months ago, we put in a cons obviously all this credit and gift cards and whatnot is a liability 12:51 on the balance sheet, so we've always had I think I told you this Yeah, yeah, we're putting the extra reporting now one of the benefits of this was that now because we we did have some people go we're selling gift cards on our website but they might be using light speed or square or something in the 13:16 restaurant and so they're like oh we're selling gift cards on the on the website but but we can't really use them with light speed, whereas now you can, because essentially, because we use not to display the, you know, what outstanding gift cards, sorry, what the outstanding gift cards are. 13:39 But now we've done it, so you can find the gift card and go actually not, they redeem that in the restaurant on light speed, therefore I'm gonna cancel that gift card. 13:48 And that will also cancel any credit that may have transferred to their account as well. Okay, so yeah, that was one of the benefits about adding that, but you can, I mean, I've got a lot of dummy examples here, but you can see, like this one here, so basically a gift card has been, a gift card has been 14:13 , or sorry, the value was originated from a gift card that has since it was transferred into an account and the current balance is 270 bucks. 14:27 So yeah, so you consider you've got that audit trail of, you know, where did this 275 come from? Oh, I came from a gift card. 14:36 Yeah. Okay. Yeah, I think it's all my gift card questions. All right. Let's go back up to the top, yeah, there you go, credit balance, credit card amount, yeah. 14:54 All right, the only other thing again is probably less relevant for you with your website, but just for the sake of sharing it, the other thing is obviously you can do a gift cards can have product variations as well. 15:14 So if you look at someone like Booly, yeah, if I can spell it properly, we're rather than displaying, rather than displaying three different gift card products you've just got the one, that's just product variations. 15:38 So you've got the parent product is the $50 gift card, which is the default, but then you can choose variations, which will be $100, $200 variation. 15:49 So if you wanted $100 to be the default, you'd make the $100 gift card the parent, and then you'd have all the others as variations to the parent. 16:00 But now, I'm sure your guy would be able to still code it to appear and work the same way, But in your backing, you just set it up as as parent and child, which is standing here. 16:14 So you'd have your $100 gift card and then two that you would add variations. Well, yeah, adding the $200, the $500 and the $1,000 gift card as well. 16:25 Just thought I'd share that for the sake of it. Cool. Too easy. Anything else? No other questions from me at the moment. 16:40 Right. I just found a very small anomaly that my OCD can't get me head around, and that's that your $150 hunt road gift card is redeemable for $148. 16:52 Currently. Yeah. You shouldn't even be available online. Just playing around with it. With this. I see you're aware. Okay. How do you create like a pro mode thing, which is just the difference between the value and the price. 17:06 But we've been turning them, making them available unavailable at the end of the last few days trying to figure this out and play with it. 17:13 But I should turn them off. No one's bought one. Has anyone come up probably yet? I think the also to just worth calling out to like just, you know, I'm sure you know that just going to make them gift cards in particular have to be after having an expiry of at least three years. 17:35 Is that automatic in how they generate? No, so you, so you still, I mean because some miners might want to sell it to 48 months or 60 months or whatever, but yeah, just bear in mind that that does have to be legally that does have to be at least 36. 17:59 I don't know what the rules are in the US, but at least down here, it's minimum through your expiry for gift card, just something just to bear in mind. 18:12 Yeah, and I think the, because you can use gift cards for like, that's the other thing too, you can have this straight out $100 gift card, but then you can have gift cards or you know like a wine tasting and wine tasting and tour, the wine tasting and tour gift card where the value of that is $365 because 18:43 that's the price of the wine tasting and tour. So you can sort of lock, you can say this gift card is for this is for this type of product, which obviously you can lock down with a credit class. 19:03 Yeah. And that's probably, yeah, that's probably about it. Also to start, I'll just mention this too. We're actually adding it to in the next couple of weeks, week or couple of weeks, I think. 19:22 We're putting it in a tick box where you're going to have a tick box where you can choose not to track stock of items now as well. 19:31 So you know how like if you've got something where you've got an unlimited number of them. You just go punching like 10,000 new units of stock. 19:41 We're making it so that you can actually it's going to be where you're not tracking the stock by default. So, but if you want to track the stock venues, which stop tracking on and then you put hunting however many numbers. 19:56 So yeah, that's about it. Easy peasy. Easy peasy. Yeah. Easy peasy. All right. All right. Well, that'll do. If you think of anything else, we'll see you at four o'clock. 20:13 Yeah, yeah, sounds good. All right. Thanks for it. I'll see you tomorrow night. Yeah, bye. Cheers.
